Hey, I know this video is two years old but I had to say somthing I’ve always wanted to make plushies, in fact as a kid I spent a lot of time trying despite not having tutorials or patterns available. They didn’t really work out So this year, all this time later I decided to finally do the damn thing and Valentine’s Day was the excuse of sorts. I decided that since I’m in school and have to much anxiety to drive and thud can’t get a job to buy gifts I would make one. We have a ton of old fabrics my mom bought years before ever teaching me to sew for a now forgotten project and I scrounged up four buttons, lace , cream fabric (it’s a weird cotton -almost felt thing, ended up working really nicley) and pink fabric. In three days with this pattern I made two steggies with inverse color pallets, lace bows wrapped around their heads and button eyes. They are a little wonky and the side looks like a giant scar haha but I’m so happy with them! I’ll be able to give one to her tomarrow and I’m so exited. They are sooo cute and for being my first two plushies ever they look amazing. I can’t thank you enough for having this available for free like this and being the right amount of instructive and entertaining to let me be able to listen and watch over and over until I got it. Thank you so much for this- it’s amazing ❤️🦖🦕

I made this a a few months ago and it was my second time ever sewing something proper. I did scale it up by a notch though, so it'd be easier for little unexperienced me😄. I made it for my little cousin (6-ish) in the US (I'm German, but my aunt moved there with the fam) and he absolutely loves it! My aunt told me, he would take it with him everywhere when he first got it, which is just such a huge compliment! I mean, I love it too! It's so cute I didn't even wanna give it away at first xD. I don't know my cousin very well due to the distance and not being close with their fam anyways, but my aunt told me he loves dinosaurs and pink, and this is how I found this video. So now he has a pink dino with yellow spikies and belly🥰

@@dehnersisterdesigns It really is. I'm definitely planning on doing one for myself and friends! Also wanted to try to change smth up with the pattern to turn it into a landshark, so instead of the tail and spikes it has fins. My first pattern draft for that looks pretty solid I think :3

Also any tips for sewing the bottom to the body? I usually have to hand sew cause the minky moves so much.
@seamslikesarah3 жыл бұрын
I always use a lot of pins to hold the fabric in place and sew slowly. It also helps to put the needle down, lift the presser foot and turn the fabric slightly as you go around the small curves.
