It was good, but a farcry from perfect. Two things would've made it a high 9 for me. 1. Allow the player to decide how attached okabe gets to amadeus. Adding two additional endings, one where he submits completely and holes himself up to spend time with her and another where he has a complete mental breakdown remembering that she is nothing more than a hollow reminder of his inability to save his beloved. 2. When Okabe gets his shit together, have another non-canon ending where he (beta okabe) goes back in time and does what he should've done in the first place with a blinding confidence that could move mountains.

Reason current Okabe doesn't remember hearing the song is because reading steiner, this Okabe doesn't remember the past of current worldline , but the past from the worldline which he comes from.

Leukresnt122846 I don't get your point, that event is supposed to happen in all worldlines because of convergence. But let's say the past is altered in a way that makes a world line shift occur (supposing him learning the song is a major event), everyone memories in the present would shift accordingly to the new past, except for Okabe because of reading steiner, thus he'll retain memories from his original worldline, not knowing the song.

Didnt Okabe live the majority of his life in the Beta world line before sending that d-mail that sent him to the alpha world line. So this event happens in the Beta world line.... And when Okabe was a child he should have been in the Beta world line. So why doesn't he remember this?

If her appearance doesn't have some relation to anything it would just be lazy writing though. You also have to think of it from a writing perspective. If the author(s) creates a character vital to the plot that bears an extreme likeness to another character and then just leave it at that... What was the point? Why not make her look completely different then? So the anime Steins;Gate 0 ended without showing who are Kagari's parents? I have a theory though Kagari is indeed the child of Kurise and Okabe, in an unknown different world line Okabe married Kurise and had a child named Kagari, one day something happened and young Kagari accidentally/somehow ended up in the Time Machine and drifted through different world lines and ended up in Beta world line and thus meeting Mayuri during WWIII, I think Kagari had inherited the Reading Steiner from Okabe so thats why Professor Leskinen tried to Brainwash Kagari to get the secrets of that World Line but somehow failed, this resulted in the loss of Kagari's Reading Steiner and her original memories. So..... Alpha World Line Kurisu(Lives) Mayuri(Dies) Kagari(Lives) Beta World Line Kurisu(Dies) Mayuri(Lives) Kagari(Lives) Steins;gate World Line Kurisu(Lives) Mayuri(Lives) Kagari(Dies)? Kagari clone theory: Kagari is a clone of Kurisu. Moreover, she's a product of Professor Leskinen's brainwashing, and he has Amadeus. Yeah, it's not that she lost her parents, she just never had any cause she's a clone. But there was never any talk of cloning in the anime at any point as far as we know it's not possible. The professor could "clone" memories but as far as a living breathing person that couldn't have happened, also the professor would've said so when he revealed his whole plan even his future self more than likely would have told him. So the most factual possibility is that kurisu is her mother from another world line, maybe at the end of the original steins gate okabe and kurisu are both alive and have a kid and world war 3 still comes and they send their kid back to try and help. You could see from steins gate 0 that she was a badass like suzuha at fighting, maybe she was as smart as kurisu too but she was brainwashed and may have got in the way of that. So, they sent her across a completely different divergence field. The series has established that that is an incredibly difficult feat. Since not much of her backstory pre-mayuri is known, I'm just saying that it could be a possibility. There's no way her similarity to Kurisu is a coincidence. What if Kagari wasn’t actually a DNA made clone of Kurisu, but more of an artificially made person to resemble Kurisu? Leskinen had Kurisu’s memories the entire time, maybe he wanted to take them from an AI system he had created of her and give them to a what we know as Kagari so Kurisu could be a living human again? Well, she could have parents, their is a possibility even if near zero, if it exists then it exists indefinitely, Final Theory - Alpha Possibility: Okabe loves Kurisu too much and does the stupidest thing he could possibly imagine with a lovesick heart and that's to go through the alpha worldline trying to keep Kurisu safe and Mayuri away from danger, change some thing, keep both alive long enough, make them stay away from the lab and far from any prying eyes, Okabe doesn't know of the Steins;Gate worldline because it doesn't exist at this time, in the end Mayuri dies an innumerable amount of times and soon all of her memories from other worldlines start to blur together, Mayuri confronts Okabe and tells him to let her go, not being able to coop with that he keeps trying to save her to no avail, comforting him Mayuri gets Okabe to agree to her plan, she dies and Okabe mourns longer then he ever thought he could, 11 years pass and Okabe and Kurisu whom just got married soon in 5 years have a child, Okabe has a secret he kept from Kurisu for a while and that's the fact that he and Itaru had built a working time machine, 10 year pass during which both Kurisu and Okabe die in World War 3 leaving Kagari an orphan, but Shizuha takes care of her for the remainder of that time frame, finds out about her father's and Okabe' s work and goes back in time, but because of this some other events happen that changes and deviates the Alpha worldline just slightly enough that the Beta worldline can finally start Domino worldline effect: Alpha -> Beta -> Steins;Gate Alpha: Mayuri stays dead ( True Start ) Beta: kagari and Shizuha exist before ( S;G Achiever ) S;G: Kurisu and Mayuri live on, Kagari may exist soon ( Best End ) So in the end Okabe completed his mission of keeping both Kurisu and Mayuri alive while stopping World War 3 from existing and sern from taking over the world. A better Question you should be asking is why Okabe chose to become a mad scientist and how the hell he manages to keep total sane through out all the shit he has or had to go through. Also the fact that while it may seem he's going through it only once you have to take in mind the fact that an endless amount of other timelines and worldline are going on at the same time. Ok, hear me out, new title, Steins;Gate Possibility Convergent, Okabe manages to get true link and all of him in any worldline now share memories and experiences as a collective, his mind gets destroyed worse than in Load region of Deja vu Puts a whole new spin on MAD scientist.

Most likely, I doubt they will release other "Steins;Gate" titles. But maybe its character will be involved in the main series it comes from, the SciADV (Science Adventure) series. #Bahamut
