Re the pronunciation being a big thing for Filipinos, it is. People make fun of wrong pronunciation whether in English or Tagalog. Since we learned English as a 2nd language, you start getting teased at school and it carries into adulthood. Hope it changes. Also, anytime he says something braggy, he counters by saying "joke" or "just kidding". Being humble is valued in Filipino culture. When celebrities have a "big head" they get hate.

Yes, we pronounce words using our tagalog accent most of the time. Most of us in Metro Manila speak Taglish (mix of Tagalog and English) so we use a lot of English words but in Tagalog accent , but sometimes we (or at least some of us) also use American accent when we are speaking in pure English, especially in formal settings like presentations in school or at work. Best example would be Pablo when he talks during their international interviews, his accent changes to American when he speaks in pure English. Ken also uses American accent. You can also hear it when they sing.

Unfortunately, Filipinos can't seem to pick a side when it comes to pronunciation. We pride ourselves on our English proficiency but when we're told we pronounced something wrong, we get defensive and hide behind Filipino being our first language. It's a mess. Haha.

about english pronunciation. yes we are! unfortunately, in the philippines, for our generation (yes, inluding you and sb19 lol), we grew up with our parents equating a good command of the english language with good education. as an unfortunate consequence, the kids (with parents from our generation) are growing up speaking english from pepa pig (and if they're lucky, local dialect at home) and barely any filipino/tagalog. i guess, the parents think that the kids would eventually learn filipino in school; after all, we learned english in school. but, i think there are only two subjects taught in filipino: filipino and philippine history. correct me if i'm wrong fellow pinoys! also, we had GREAT eductional local TV programs when we were kids. T^T if they don't want to make new ones (coz the network is still recovering), maybe just remaster it! it really was very good. the filipino kids today don't have that. lol sorry for the long comment. edit. grab delivery? nooo i'm sorry, but i don't think it's worth it.
