It is a South African university in the wine region not far from Cape Town. They have been the world champions for a few years now.

Stellenbosch University is a university town just outside of Cape Town about an hour away. The members of the choir will be students of the University, who will come from all over South Africa, possibly some from Africa and potentially some from outside of South Africa. The choir have uploaded a number of music videos from their various performances. You should look up their performances of “Say something” and “Man in the mirror”

I graduated from Stellenboch University and the choir is magnificent for many many years!! It is situated in a beautiful wine route town in the Western Cape, SOUTH AFRICA. During my time at the University students were called MATIES, it was part of the wonderful history of the University. I think they changed it to STELLIES after SA's new political system since 1994.

The choreography of grieving in the second song, done I believe by the students themselves, is simply brilliant. This choir was voted best in the world many times by Interkultur throughout the 2000-teens.
