Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! shop.forgottenweapons.com
One of the best-looking versions of the Stemple is, I believe, the STG-34k. This was the result of BRP obtaining a whole bunch of MG-34 parts kits as part of a separate project to make an MG-34-style upper for the AR platform, and thus having all the grip models leftover. Well, why not fit them to the Stemple 76/45 tube? Pair the MG-34 grip with a short Suomi barrel and shroud and an AK underflowing stock (current production ones use a slightly less terrible stock) and presto! You have a transferrable submachine gun that looks like it came right out of Star Wars...

No, that is a Soro Suub product. Because Sullustan heart is on the right side of the body, they are mostly left handed, thus safety being well suited for Ian. They also have somewhat thicker fingers than the typical humanoid. That underfolder even makes sense given the jowls of a Sullustian. Ergos scream SSC and not export production.

This wasn't Bubba. This was John Stemple and Brian Polings deal. I knew John as a kid and know Brian now, I deal with him frequently. John was a brilliant machinist and he made several thousand registered tubes that pissed off the govt when the 86' Ban hit because he got them in under the wire and they tried (and failed) to confiscate them. They didn't want him in possession of over 2000 tubes that were technically machine guns! He partnered with Brian and they came up with the STG which made these tubes anything they wanted. They can be made into tommy guns, mp 40's, Suomi, ultra modern, modular you name it. John was and Brian is brilliant designers and machinists. Bubba has nothing to do with them in the least!

This is the E-9, the predecessor to the E-10 and E-11. It was manufactured by Blastech to serve as a temporary armament for the Imperial Army while they worked on perfecting the designs of the much more refined E-10 and E-11 for the Stormtrooper Corps. Unfortunately, the Imperial Army troopers who were issued this new blaster didn't like it, so they instead opted to use older Clone Wars-surplus offerings from Blastech. Guess the decent people come around on nice gun videos. There are some things I don't like discussing about online. Not to mention Ian's fantastic ability to describe conflicts like an actual historian. There aren't many who appreciates that when he is describing WWII events for instance, but as someone who came home from a tour to Balkan it's been a blessing when he discusses weapons used in those conflicts.... To this day all I can say about that conflict is that everyone involved was as much a victim as they were a villain. Myself included... So it's incredibly nice that Ian manages to touch on in a way that is both neutral and somewhat distanced.

@@roddydykes7053 On a suppressive fire weapon there IS no quality of trigger pull. You yank the bastard in until the ugga dugga starts making noise and then you try your best to direct the narrow cone of tracer stripes onto that thing that you decided you didn't like. Once they have their heads down the light mortars take over while you try to keep the gun pointed at roughly where you last saw the baddies. When the radio suddenly goes "Identify target?" you send another short burst that way. The Germans were apparently economical in their thinking when they decided that it would be a waste to shoot more than one round when doing target identification :P That being said: The Swedes are the only ones who designates these types of weapons properly according to their role... the literal translation is "a bullet sprayer" :P

I can see it, especially if you had a really short stick magazine, this would be something straight out of Star Wars.

Despite all of its faults, the NFA has caused a lot of weird and wonderful guns to be created.

That is by far the most Frnakensteined gun I've ever seen. But they made it work, so hats off.

I can't wait to see Ian shooting this at the range! These Stemple SMG's are so cool - with a machine shop and a modicum of skill you can make it look like just about anything you want.... 👍👍

Next up: The STG-7... "This is built from original RPG-7 parts kits that flooded the US market after the collapse of the Soviet Union... Obviously it doesn't shoot original RPG-7 ammo as that would make it a destructive device. In stead it shoots 9mm Parabellum tracer rounds, but it does retain the full auto capability!" :P
