SalamuAlaikum Kajte, Alif has two roles, one as a consonant which is pronounced in words such as Asad أسد Lion (Initial position) فأر mouse (Medial position) and نبأ news ( Final position). The other role is a long vowel which occurs after a letter to extend its pronunciation as in باب door- بوم owl - تين fig. You can remark that all the long vowels don't have any case marking, especially Alif, it does not occur with a hamza.

When you pronounce the word, how do you know what vowel to put in between the alphabets to sound correct ? For example, "Mimsaha". When you wrote it out, you wrote just the alphabets : M-M-S-H-T. How do I know to put "i" between the two M's, and "a" after the S and the H ?

Certain words you get introduced to them by listening. When you learn the sound of each vowel it helps you take notes of their place in a word. It's all a Matter of exposure to the word multiple times prior to acquisition. Let me know of you have any questions.

For example, for the word taalib, spells as طالب, at the end of it: LAAM+ BA.. how come it became LIB? How will i know if it will not sound like other vowel? Or do we like that in arabic? 2. What is ta marbuta? Or feminine form? How come it sounds Ha at the end of the word? Which is included in the example word of mimsaha? I tried to watch again your part two video but i cannot find that kind of letter and position? 3. How come did you spell ustaatha with alif in the beginning? Is it Alif sounds A? I' ve understood your lessons so far, and I think you're an awesome teacher but I have a question on formulating words from letters. Why do we miss letters like for example the word salaam do we need to find which letter is refered as an S from english to arabic first then a then l then two a's and so on..but it's not formulated like that and I don't undetstand how that works like we dont get two alif's and I cant understand .If u explained that to me it would be so helpful
