Stephen will start by showing you how to clamp a cylindrical object using the cones on the rotary attachment. He will demonstrate how to loosen the lever and separate the cones, place the cylindrical object, and then tighten the lever. If you need to process the same item repeatedly, Stephen will show you how to swap items quickly, as the movable cone is spring-loaded.
If you want to engrave on a curved surface, where the surface isn't flat, Stephen will show you how to tilt the rotary to adjust the angle. You also have the option to adjust the height of the cones using the scales on both cones so that you can align the height perfectly for objects with a wider diameter.
Stephen will then demonstrate other attachments to the rotary, including the manual ring chuck, manual three jaw chuck, standard three jaw chuck, and the draw chuck. He will show you how to mount the main chuck onto the adapter plate, attach it with three screws, and how to change the attachment fixtures using two wrench keys. You'll also learn how to open and close the jaws, replace the jaws, and use the small lever that comes with the manual three jaw chuck.
Before installing the roller mechanism, Stephen will guide you through loosening the belt tension and then tightening the belt tension, depending on the model of your laser engraving machine. Finally, he will show you how to install the roller mechanism by setting the guide holes on the guide pins on the plate below, attaching the screws, and installing the belt.
