A fairly step by step video, on how to replace an alternator on a 3.6L Chevrolet Colorado (2016). General Motors states that years 2015 to 2022 belong to the 2nd Generation of Colorados, and all of the 3.6L gas engines in them, should be able to access and remove/replace the alternator in the same fashion....... I ended up having to replace mine half way through a long trip from Lansing area to the tip of the lower peninsula of Michigan. After having to surf KZfaq and watch quite a few videos, I figure Id make a video with everything all in one video. The total time it took me to access and replace my alternator (as a first timer) took me about 2.5 hours, NOT including the time it took to have someone get the alternator from AutoZone and bring it to me, along with tools to take it out. Hopefully this video saves someone else the research time it took me... Huge THANK YOU to my father for driving about 2 hours to AutoZone, then up to me, just to turn around and have to drive about 1.5 hours home..... Also big shout out to the workers at the Mobil Gas station just off Highway 127 in Rosebush, Michigan, for being so pleasant about letting me be in their side lot and staying there the many hours it took to repair my truck.... Hope the rest of you out there have a safe and great day.
