ADHD IS a struggle!!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again - everything you create, imo, is better than what you can find in a commercial store. Your babies are completely gorgeous. I'm a paper crafter via scrapbooking who primarily creates cards now to raise $ for rescue people/organizations (I can't bear to see animals in distress, either). I could, however, go to jail to keep them out of harm's way. I digress. I also love making jounals, but it's been a while. My point - there's a card creator that regularly has story time. Love them. Likewise, your story times, whether they're struggles, which many of us can empathize with, or mysteries, or whatever, are always interesting and informative. Personally, I think stories help us to connect. If the nay sayers don't like them, they can turn off the volume and turn on the cc's. You do you and we're here to support you. This is way after the fact, but I hope your headache went away quickly. As a migraine sufferer, I really feel for those who also have them. Sorry for the long post!

By the way Nik, I know you are not my mama but you are the whole reason I fell into the rabbit hole of junk journals. I don’t think I have ever told you. I was innocently researching book binding because (who knows why) I found a book on it at the thrift store and there you were in ALL your glory. I have watched you for years. Your books are really works of art.

I recently completed my first junk journal. I did so many things different than what you just showed us but I don't care. I love my Positivity Journal. My cover is a laminated (single side) piece of 65 lb card stock. I have 38 pages, one signature. I have a lot of bulky ephemera and approximately a quarter inch spine. I made it just for me to look at when I need a little lift in spirits. I'll post some pictures in the group. Just don't laugh when you see it. BTW, you can tell us your troubles any time. It always helps to share with people who care for you. We do care.

One of the main reasons I subscribed to your channel was because of your chitchat, your rapport with us invisible viewers. I enjoy what you talk about and I enjoy the content that you create. So just keep doing you. Haters gonna hate and ignorant don't even know that they are. (apparently, they also don't know where the mute button is). I have been known to watch content with the mute on and listen to a book on Audible at the same time ... never your channel, though.

I love the stories. It's nice knowing other people are dealing with ridiculously annoying headache, or worse, inducing situations. Seems like for me 90% of the time it involves tech. The other 10% of the time it's wasting a day being put on hold. If I'm really lucky it's both.

Oh. Since you love animals: I can tell you a very lovely story! I saved a magpie yesterday. It got stuck inside the airvent to my bathroom. I called firefighters. They showed up but didn't help (you have to destroy the grate. It's just not reasonable). Well, they wouldn't, so I attacked the wall with all kinds of tools after having given water to poor birdy with a pipette. At one point the grate gave in and I could remove it and there sat magpie. All tired but not panicking at all. I took her in my hand, put a towel over her head and very calmly carried her down 4 stairs and released her outside. I am so happy. I hope she is doing well... Ps: it took me only 2 hours to repair the damage. Its not pretty but I think it's so worth it.

They’re all hardback. My favorite is one entitled “Words of Wisdom from Shakespeare”. Being a Lit teacher, I eagerly opened it. It’s blank! Completely blank! Fabulous. In our family, I am The Keeper of all Things. I have receipts for coal delivery from 1943. The whole year. Shoe receipts from Fontius. (Remember them?) I have a great map from the Silver Dollar hotel in Nederland. Many papers go back to the 1800s. It is time. I am going to make junk journals out of these “precious” family flotsam and jetsam…I mean, er, heirlooms, and gift the results to myself, my heirs, my brother & cousin. Thanks, Nik!!! Never disappointed with your videos. ❤

This would take me weeks! I love it and I have some beautiful covers, but I mess up everything 😂. I will have to do a practice one first because don’t want to use the good stuff. But I will come back to this video when I’m ready! Hugs 🤗❤️

I highly recommend doing a practice piece first. My first one is already starting to fall apart but that's fine. I'm using it as a scrappy note jotting book currently. I learned a lot in the making of it too. :)
