Been to the hospital, had work ups, paid lots of money but no one can tell us what is happening. We have to find our disease on the internet and cure ourselves. Thank you so much.

Many people that had covid were diagnosed with SIBO ( Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth ) which can cause , fatigue, brain fog and aching. I was diagnosed with that too after my doctor suggested a breath test for that and it was positive! Once the bacteria is reduced many long covid symptoms get better. Usually antibiotics are used to reduce the bad bacteria. But its important after treatment to take probiotics as antibiotics destroy good and bad bacteria. The alternative is natural antibiotics supplements , like oregano, berberine, cloves, garlic supplements in combo . Vitamin B1 deficiency can help many too and be the root cause of many gut symptoms or neurological symptoms linked to long COVID.

I'm generally very impressed with advice offered by Dr Boon, however, I found that in this video there wasn't enough caution expressed about dangers of exercise for those with LC who meet the diagnosis for ME/CFS. In this case, the cardinal defining symptom is PESE, (post exertion symptom exacerbation) that can occur up to 48 hours after even minimal exertion in some patients. There are enough patients with post-viral ME who have been made long term bed bound by trying to follow an exercise program. In such patients pacing and rest is extremely important with a much more cautious approach to increasing activity, dropping back down if symptoms increase. Please see pulmonary exercise testing by the Workwell foundation in the US for more information. The Bateman Horne Centre is also a good resource

Thanks God my Doctors in Germany 🙈did know nothing about Long Covid, so I had to find out for myself how I can support myself and how to cope with the annoying breathlessness as an asthmatic after the 2nd Infection that was 3 months ago from now on. SO I found you Dr. Boon, you give me hope and a plan that all will work out. You both are amazing and everyone that suffers of Long Covid should know this video! Thanks from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I agree with the standing yoga not being helpful and pacing, breathing and salt being helpful. Interestingly I got altitude sickness recently and when I got back to sea level, I got so much better! I have dysautonomia from LC but I get exhausted from the cold shower. I don’t find relief from the shock as I have trouble warming up after the cold shower. The same with walking in cold weather. I try to ignore and listen to music or breathe but I find my stress and is very high. Opposite with sauna or being out on a 90 degree day. I find joy. Perhaps it’s my hypothyroidism that makes me miserable during and after cold showers and walks. Pacing and rest has helped. Salt, hydration and my Lululemon leggings helped. Floor stretches, breath work and core exercises kept my body free of tension and pain. I was still unable to stand longer than 10 minutes without feeling lightheaded and weak and my chiro did some bloodwork. Results showed high TSH, low magnesium, low vitamin B (although I was taking it) and low CoQ10. Started taking magnesium, CoQ10 and a methylated vitamin B as I have the MTHFR gene (can’t convert folate) and within a month I felt much better and was able to stand longer, walk, go to yoga classes and use an infrared sauna. I was so excited that I think I forgot about pacing and did too many of these things, despite having stressful work and triggering emotional events. I’m back to doing a bit less.

Wow! I have been dealing with pacs for a little over a year and experimenting with what I eat and different supplements. Starting the day with potassium and an essential minerals capsule seems to help but still occasional periods of breathlessness with very little exercise and pacs with more intense. I have recently realized that eating salty nuts helps so decided to try baking soda in water. I will definitely be trying more of your recommendations. I don't know if I had covid but I had 2 weeks of very mild symptoms right before it all started. I had 2 shots of Moderna when it came out and felt pretty bad for 24 to 36 hours. Also had a flare-up of fibrocystic breast after the 2nd shot. I will not be getting any more shots! I am 73, fairly active (the pacs definitely get i my way!) and am in the US. Thank you so much for doing this video. I found it around 2 am. Wide awake! 😳 I'm going to pass it on. ❤👍🏻

There's so much advice for POTS but none for hypeadrenergic patients. Despite years of trying combinations and finally settling on 4 medications that helped my high BP - a beta blocker that took forever to find one I could tolerate, irbesartin and both a potassium sparing and potasium wasting diuretics, my P is completely out of control since two bouts of covid.

You need to treat inflammation. I had terrible fatigue, brain fog, memory cognitive issues after covid. I'm Still recuperating. New doctor treated me with I meg solumedrol IV steroid. Within hours of treatment the pressure I felt on top of my head lifted. Several days later I could think clearer my short term memory lapses improving. My fatigue also is much better. I nap once or twice a week once a day. Not every day twice or three times. Why do doctors ignore treating brain inflammation. It is documented on MRI scans. They know it's there but don't treat it. I thank God I finally found a doctor who treated it. Look for doctors who will give corticosteroids to treat long term covid inflammation. This is what causes long covid!

I'm a bit confused after listening to this video. It sounds like Dr. Lim is mostly referring to those who suffer from POTS after C infection. My symptoms are lightheadedness (or pressure in my head) that fluctuates during the course of the day. I generally feel much better after eating dinner - almost to the point of feeling "normal", but I'm more sensitive in the 1st part of the day. I definitely know when I've overdone it as the next day I can tell I've relapsed. I've checked my bp and don't have POTS. I've also read that a low salt diet is recommended for dizziness. I've generally been eating a normal amount of salt daily, mostly at dinner since that's my biggest meal. Anyway, I'm just curious if you would recommend 1-2 teaspoons of salt daily if one doesn't have POTS. And should the salt content of miso be included in this category? My systolic bp is generally between 106-120. Thank you for this interesting video.

What to do instead of drinking salt if you have high BP? There is likely two teaspoonful of salt already in ordinary every day cooking. Is the doctor’s two teaspoon of salt in addition to what we normally add to cooking? If yes can we add more salt when we make soup and drink the soup instead of salt in a glass of plain water?
@TalkHealthAsia
@TalkHealthAsia Жыл бұрын
Hi! We've reached out to Dr Boon and here's his response: If you are known to have a high BP, please do not have excessive salt. You may need to discuss this with your doctor further. Only take salt IF you have normal or low normal BP and your symptoms are consistent with long covid. 2 teaspoonfuls is what is recommended in total and if this is already consumed in day to day cooking, then you may not need to add more. However, if you exercise/sweat a lot and have low BP despite a salty meal, then you can add a little more salt, depending on what your salt "craving" level is. Remember, if high BP, be more cautious about salt.
