Күн бұрынWelcome back everyone for another race weekend vlog. Feels like we've been waiting forever again.
If I look at the weekend as a whole, we faced some challenges but also I think we’ve caught a bit of a positive wave! My feeling with the Yamaha R1 WorldSBK is much better. In the Superpole Race, I got a great start - I was thinking to go down the inside but just released the brake and went around the outside, got some great track position and then I was able to make some really nice laps in the beginning to stay with Toprak and Nicolo for a bit and just settle into my rhythm. It was a nice feeling and a great little bonus for everybody in the team! We couldn’t capitalise as much with track position in
Race 2 even though I started on the front row, I struggled from the get-go with rear traction.

🤗 Thankyou JR first weekend at WSB too. Watched you cross that line. Fab to hear/see the respect and support from people around me who were all 🎉, no matter who they came to support. Congrats on getting your 1st Yamaha podium JR, I knew it would come. As always we were there flying the Flag. I was pleased to hear you say on the vlog, when chatting to Scott, that you let the VR46 lads fly on as their bikes were trackday ready and yours wasn't. This is a very good example, for any trackday rider, of knowing the limits of the machine. Also translates to road riders riding in groups, they are always best riding at a pace that they feel safe and are comfortable with. Keep up the good work.

Was there watching you and wondering if you think you made an error breaking your contract as a) Alex Lowes (without the constraints of not being allowed to finish in front of you at KRT is proving the bike is still relatively competitive and b) it will be a more exotic machine next year with Bimota input......

It’d be interesting to see you do just one weekend with a different crew chief… nothing against anyone in your team, but the feeling you’re searching for isn’t coming so someone else’s eyes on the job would be interesting to see if any solutions are found. Awesome performance though mate, so good to see you getting there 😁👍🏻
