I love the red moon and see it as mysterious-not necessarily Halloween. I also think it’s cool to have that moon behind the lady on the next page. It also gave me a mysterious vibe with the red mist surrounding her. There’s a story there connected by that moon. Beautiful art, Barbara!

Love the red moon, the clear embossing makes it perfect and it looks great with the page turned as well. I like to apply the alcohol inks with a brush because it can make a pretty big splash from the nozzle, I was worried it would bleed through onto your lady behind! Really fun video!💕🇨🇦

I absolutely LOVE this one! I'm making journals for my two preteen granddaughters and have been wishing I could add some whimsy and maybe even 'otherworldly' or 'fantasy' touches. Spreads like this one and some others that you've done, where you included images cut from that awesome Extraordinary Things To Cut Out And Collage book, are just exactly what I'd been looking for but did not know where to start!! You can make anything turn out beautiful with that creative mind! The moon really made it and then before you said it, I was trying to "tell" you to bring the reef back. 😆 I hope you don't mind this next statement. I think you need to cover the word "bad" on that page. There is absolutely nothing "bad" in your journal! Except the actual word. That's false advertising, as your journal is a beautiful artistic master piece! Love it more every time you work in it! TFS! Hugs from South Dakota, USA 🤗

Love your whimsical spread, Barbara ❤ Your instincts were spot on with that red moon! About the bats (you mentioned not having any): Tim Holtz has many stamps and stencils with bats, but I also really like the bats and bat wings in his Halloween ephemera (wouldn't the people look great with bat wings?) I just received this year's Halloween sticker book and the new Layers + Paper Dolls pack (love it!). Both have bats, and I think you'd have a great time creating with any or all of them 🦇

This is so neat and your right tho, one does not need to have Tim Holtz paper dolls to do this but any cut out or ephemera. But I agree too that people sitting on obscure objects is truly fun. I really need to get a junk journal made for myself so I can play and work the pages! Thanks for the inspiration and you never disappoint! Also I love that you show us your ‘let’s try this, don’t know if it will work’ ! Very relatable to us artists!😊💗

Great title, we're all about the quirkiness here 😄. Creepy? I wanted to make my own paper dolls from photos but there's no feet in most shots 🙊. Oh yes I remember that request lol. So many projects so little time! 😄oh people on fish sounds brilliant! The embossed die cut look cool 😎 and love them sitting on them. Glossy is great resist and also adhering bulkier bits. The resist worked great! Have you tried the microglaze? It's expensive though and technically for sealing oxides but works. Everyone should have wings imho lol.I like earth as a moon 🙊. But that's cool in red! Oh, the word bad us visible, perfect for 🎶I see a bad moon arising 🎶 😄. I love it 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Yep, I’m one of those people that find the paper dolls and random people ephemera extremely creepy. I can’t really articulate a reason, it’s just creepy to me.
