The recruits and their families are welcomed into the San Jose Police Department family and the recruits meet their Training Officers. They attend an ethics class taught by Chief Rob Davis and a session on Constitutional Law. We interview Academy Coordinator Kirk Niemeyer and new recruits who moved from New York City.

I had 27 credits when I was hired. Still no AA degree. Some agencies require it, some do not. Also, my Chief teaches Academy classes too.

I reallly want to be a police officer. I'm currently a sophomore and I was wondering what are the chances of getting hired with out college credits.. I most likely gonna to go college, but i really would like to be on the force a lot sooner
