The one Above all holy shit, that was some grade A hating right there. You think CP had it hard growing up? Most NBA players were nourished and pampered by the age 10. Little league coaches and communities always takes care of the “special” boys. Sure, they might not have lived in the big house like Steph, or ate fancy meals like Steph, but what does that have to do with the desire to get better every single day?? Ain’t no 10 year worries about everyday struggle, not even a 18 year old, when they know basketball could be their ticket. Same for any sport. If a child grew up rough, it’s cause they had fucked up parents. And you can have fucked up parents rich or poor.

He’s an amazing weapon. Lacks size and elite athleticism, and made up for it with ridiculous accuracy, ridiculous range, ridiculous release speed at a historic level, and top level handles. It’s infuriating when idiots think “handchecking” would shut him down, when handchecking never shut down any star player in history. It was very effective against mediocre ball handlers. Curry is a world class talent and a player who’d have flipped the conventional game on its head in any era
@SirJorge.
@SirJorge. Жыл бұрын
It does. The man is dame 2.0 that was drafted by a great org. Dude failed to make the playoffs last year with the highest scoring duo, him and Wiggins. Wiggins and looney literally were the reason they beat the mavs. Without them they aren’t beating Luka. Idk if you watched the games but when Luka and Steph were on the floor, they never led for more than 2 points. The minute Steph and Luka sat down, that’s when the warriors blew out the mavs and Steph returned to a blowout.
@Johnny-xj5qu
@Johnny-xj5qu Жыл бұрын
@@SirJorge. oh that’s rich. Steph Curry literally controlled every series he was in and without doubt was the best one on the floor. He’s far above Dame. Dame is Curry-Lite, and BTW when Steph got drafted it was a trash organization that he lifted on his shoulders to prominence. The dubs without Steph 2 seasons ago won 15 games. The year after, they added wiggins who was considered a bust who never lived up to the hype… I mean if Wigg is your 2nd best, you aren’t considered a title contending team at all. With Steph they were 10 games over .500, that season but the 10 games he missed, being led by Wigg and Dray, they were 2-8. Going back to the Dame comparison, Steph is a far more efficient and deadly version of Dame. Steph gets twice the defensive attention Dame does and still thrives. Teams aren’t panicking all over the floor when they face Dame, but they’re in a frenzy about Steph all game. Steph also had the highest +/- in the playoffs so acting like his team carried him is a joke. He shredded the leagues top D and DPOY into pieces in the finals. Dame, hah, you ain’t getting that over on me because I know the game inside and out. Dame at best is a top 60 all timer. Steph at worst is top 12. Did you used to compare Gilbert Arenas to Michael Jordan?
@SirJorge.
@SirJorge. Жыл бұрын
@@Johnny-xj5qu no he wasn’t. Luka was manhandling the warriors. Steph wasn’t doing shit but scoring. Don’t try to protect the most overrated player of all time. They would’ve lost if it weren’t for looney and Wiggins.

@@SirJorge. Game 1. Luka -30 Steph +23 Game 2. Luka -12 Steph +15 Game 3. Luka -19 Steph +19 Game 4. Luka +13 Steph -23 Game 5 closeout Luka -12 Steph +11 Your narrative about Steph having his team build leads while he sat doesn’t add up at all. Also if Wiggins was the best, why did Luka chew him up? You hate Steph and are inventing reasons to discredit him. If a person doesn’t acknowledge that Steph was the best in the playoffs bar none, by far, they don’t know the game or they do and just don’t want to give Steph credit. Steph had the defense on a string in every series, forcing them to pick their poison every time down the court. He controlled everything

It’s all about change of speeds and change of direction and footwork all the greatest scorers just get you to Lean or get off balance then they get a step and you’re chasing and it’s over that’s why team defense matters so much in nba cuz elite guys can’t be stopped. The other thing is the ballhandling go with that stuff. Then the shooting, Curry can shoot from every possible footwork combination and from any direction or situation. His shot is so effortless he is seen as a weak guy but Steph has incredible strong legs I heard trainer say he squats most on warriors. I’ve heard klay say he wouldn’t be in nba if he hadn’t done tons of squats. Weightlifting gets overlooked in basketball some guys are naturally athletic then they just add to it, all elite players have done tons of leg workouts it helps with that first step, balance, and of course jumping and defense. Running full speed stopping on a dime and getting balanced. The craziest part of guys like cp3 and Curry is the concentration they routinely hit jumpers over 7ft guys who play perfect defense, and they never get shot blocked. Cp3 talking about defense, defense is all about not going for steals and blocks, just keep them in front and make them shoot over a contest, if they make it that’s fine but you can’t get beat and he out of position. The elite guys just have a “feel” that can’t be taught it’s something you learn when you’re young, it’s like an anticipation and ability to manipulate the defense, it’s like they are a step ahead which is crazy considering how fast nba game is. Lots of guys have skills and athleticism and they look good in workouts and open gyms but then when game plan and big moments come they don’t show up. Then people criticize them which is funny social media trolls act like it’s easy to make the right play or hit shots in nba on Tv millions watching fans heckling media and then you’re tired and fatigued when playing which makes everything harder. Most people who criticize nba players and say they suck at something have never played past highschool and they don’t really know how complex the game is so they don’t know how mentally tough all nba players are, every nba player is more Mentally tough than any media member or angry fan.

@rylandwells403
@rylandwells403 4 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Jones Steph’s beaten CP3 with no KD when he was on the clippers AND the rockets. Just appreciate greatness. Steph is my fav player but I’d be remiss to deny Chris Paul’s greatness. But to your first point, Steph offensively is more than elite. And while cp3 is definitely the better defender, he isn’t better enough to offset just how great and impactful Steph is on the court period.
@rylandwells403
@rylandwells403 4 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Jones I do agree cp3 and Kobe would’ve been lethal. Idk why, like truly why, the league was afraid of that. CP3 also was damn near doing it all on those New Orleans hornets teams!. But Why bring up the 3-1 tho? CP3 has lost being up 3-1. Steph, the warriors, and their culture is what brought KD over. They were gassed in the finals. It happens. Great players have subpar playoff performances at times, but they respond back. That’s how you know they’re great. What happened the second Steph wasn’t doubled and triple teamed at ALL points during the game? He damn near averages a triple double in 2017. 2015, I think it’s a general consensus to most rational fans that Steph should’ve had finals mvp 2015. Regardless, NONE OF THEM YEARS NO STEPH NO RINGS. For none of them. He is THE core for all of that to have happened. Cp3 Switched to a better Houston team, and when he REALLY had his chance to beat Steph 2019, Houston let dude go OFF for 30+ points in the SECOND half. I can’t make this stuff up. I don’t think you have to down Steph to up Chris Paul

Steph reminds me of that one Bruce Lee quote about "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks but one who has practiced one kick 10,000 times". He had great fundamental handles 12 years ago even by pro standards, and instead of trying to get fancy and use a bunch of different dribble moves he just kept practicing the same fundamental moves until now he is one of the greatest handlers of the basketball to ever play, which has helped him in even becoming the best 3-pt scorer to ever play. Really shows how far developing your fundamentals can get you
