They had known Manny's capabilities but still goin' in becoz they thought they will defeat the 8 division champion, that it is their pride to beat the superstar of boxing. It's greed and arrogance. Broner 50/295 total punches. That's an average of 24 punches thrown and 4 landed, per round. Manny's numbers were about double that (112/568), plus to he looked like he was initiating most of the contact and had Broner in a trouble a few times. If you wanted to be the most generous judge in the world, you could call it a draw. But under no circumstance did Broner win that fight. Not even close.
