Favouritism was a factor as Stephen A argument against Shannon Sharpe was "[Luka] is battling for a 5th seed, come on Shannon, you see MY KNICKS", meanwhile both team finished with a 50-32 record, even though the Western Conference was a much tougher conference this season. Not saying Jalen Brunson doesnt deserve MVP votes, but there really isnt a argument team record or stat wise to put him over Doncic

@@StatPadYT Knicks are without their 2nd best players and Dallas is so deep they didn't need Brunson. I can say Brunson is the MVP because he is the most valuable to his team. without him, the Knicks would not have made the play in-game. Luka has a HOF player he's playing with. who is the 2nd best player on the Knicks? whoever you say he's not a HOF player. not even an all-star.

I dont believe either of these teams would make the play in if we remove their top player (Both should be All NBA first team), but I would argue outside of Kyrie, who I agree is better than anyone on the Knicks, The Knicks overall are deeper than the Mavs. VORP of Players who have played 15+ mpg and 55+ games 1. If you want to look at singular teammate, there is nothing I can say to change your mind as I am in agreement that Kyrie has been more valuable than anyone else on the Knicks. But I look at the entire supporting cast which shows that Brunson arguably had more overall support than Luka. Vorp of Brunson and Luka best 4 teammates combined Knicks - 7.8 Mavs - 5.0 This doesnt include Julius Randle who had a VORP of 1.6, which is more than any Mavs player outside of Kyrie
