People forget because he started so young in the league but Tatum is only now beginning to enter his prime. He’s 26 years old. Winning at the highest level takes time in the NBA. Lebron, Jordan, curry and so many more stars have shown it takes time. Very few stars win as the guy before they’re 27/28. The inconsistency should decrease even more as he ages. I just hope him and brown get it together soon enough to get Al the ring he desperately deserves

Its not only about winning, context matters too, they have good team forever, why players like Luka is clearly better, he won nothing, was close less times, just eye test. It sucks for him, as there are players who are just great from the beginning, and he have team to win for years. Not only that, hes not carrying when it matters.

@@Mrt-yg9mw you say Luka is clearly better but he can't do half of what Tatum does on defense. and has had less playoff success while still having a quality team around him. Tatums had games where he's taken over and scored 50 he's had games where his key defensive stops have won them games. He's not flashy and that's what the casuals don't like. And no there aren't players who are great from the beginning not late into the playoffs at least. Winning matters more than anything

@@Mrt-yg9mw how is Luka clearly better? Tatum is miles better on defense. I'll give you Luka is a better playmaker. Their 3 pt percentages are very similar. and Lukas field goal percentage is one percentage point better.

These analyst seem to forget that Brad Stevens had put up these team to avoid relying on just 1 or 2 players. They say this things but seem to forget: Game 1 vs Heat: Tatum had triple double Game 3 vs Cavs: Tatum had 33pts and 13 Rebounds 6 Assist Game 4 vs Cavs: Tatum Had 33pts and 11 Rebounds Game 1 vs Pacers: Tatum had 36pts and 12 Rebounds The Celtics roster now was built in the precept the teams before that had 1 superstar does not win championship. Naturally his stat will dilute since there are more players who can perform.

I mean SAS ain’t lying. Brown has been carrying Tatum. Built like Tarzan plays like Jane. Absolute weak around the rim on offense. Has played on loaded teams his entire career for a celebrated franchise so he gets superstar treatment and accolades like 1st Team All-NBA that he doesn't deserve. Every time Boston wins we have to hear about his son and how his mom raised him for some reason. We get it for fucks sake. He's PG13 2.0.
