Chile, it was a PUSH. I thought punches were thrown, because media keeps saying a fight broke out. Anyway, Fla’juae apologized to Dawn for her part in it. Cardosa issued a statement apologizing, as well. Coach Dawn apologized to the fans. Punishments were handled out. Cardosa got the right punishment. Let’s move on after today.

You can't have a coach who's supposed to be leading and setting an example handle the situation the way Kim did. You can't say move on because if these two teams play again there's going to be as much carry over from Kim's comments as there will be from that push. You can't as a leader sit up there and throw gasoline on this thing.

The LSU player shoved an SC player first, and then the tall girl came in and gave a shove back. If you're short and shove someone, you can't complain if someone shoves you back and sends you flying into the first row. She shoved the SC player and tried to walk away like she didn't start something.
@Kissypooh
@Kissypooh 2 ай бұрын
That was Fla's second technical foul but the refs refused to assign it to her. The first was the intentional ("non-basketball") foul against Fulwiley to prevent her from the easy layup after she picked Fla's pocket so easily. So Fla has committed two flagrant technicals for the whole world to see, then Cardoso steps up to try to defend Watkins, committing one flagrant technical, and gets ejected for it. This isn't justice. The refs are saying the later the foul is after the whistle the more egregious, which just incentivizes flagrancy before the whistle blows. Which LSU got away with. That's exactly what Fla got away with.

Kim Mulkey is nothing but classy. When Brittney Griner committed a crime in a foreign country, Mulkey didn't have her back because she does not condone violent or criminal behavior. There are a few things you all missed concerning this incident. First, it started with the LSU player. She started it. Next the six-foot seven player retaliated by knocking the LSU player to the floor. When the scuffle hit no one seemed to notice the little point guard from LSU either punch or hit the six-foot seven player in the mouth with her arm, elbow or fist. If you go back and watch it all again you will see the little point guard rush in and strike the big player. As it was all breaking up, they showed the big player with a bloody lip. That bloody lip was from the little point guard. Next, the man who rushed down to quote unquote protect his sister broke the rules and should be treated like all other fans who leave their seats and rush to the floor. He should have been ejected from the game which may have happened. There were two other fans who started to follow him to the floor but were held back by security. Both of those fans should have been rejected from the stadium. If not for security, they may have made it to the floor and God only knows what might have happened. Can anyone imagine three men, especially the two that were held back, getting involved in the altercation. This would have been disastrous for the women and the sport. It's my opinion that the brother and the two men who tried to enter the floor should have been ejected and not allowed to come to the first NCAA Tournament game. I do agree that the South Carolina coach had a much better response than the LSU coach. Cheers! :0)

How about ESPN/First take cover the WNBA and the College level basketball like they do the men instead of highlighting a scuffle. Their game has gotten better give them that respect more often!!

How about ask me to clarify my statement before (Trying) to be smart. Men sports dominate all networks, The distribution needs to be comparable. They have great games for us coaches to take young Men to watch because they play beneath the rim with solid fundamentals . Respect@@Dre384

LSU has never been famous for class. Not going to class and not having class. The coach does dress fancy and loves attention though.

One thing I miss in the analysis is the effect of what happened to Last-Tear Puar the day before on the LSU team. You want to win for her? You put extra pressure on the team. And shoving someone to the ground just one day after gets worse.

Kim putting the enforcer responsibility on Angel is what I don't agree with. I wouldn't have cared if she just said "one of my bigger players"

That's not what she was saying. She was saying the pusher should pick on someone get own size. And Shannon and Stephen literally agreed saying that angel wouldn't run from no drama

@g33k707 I get that and I know what she meant, but let's say Angel rather not get into something next time. She might feel the need to live up to something she ain't in the mood for.
