I respectfully disagree. OJ managed to cross the color barrier more than almost any other Black celebrity of his day. In sports, in movies, in commercials, everywhere. Very few people hated him. If the opposite were true, there is no way he would have achieved the kind of success he did. I believe the reason they hated him so much is because they loved him SOOOOOOOO much and he let them down. They did not love Robert Blake that much. They did not love Roman Polanski that much. They did not love Phil Specter that much. They did not love Harvey Weinstein that much. But they did love OJ that much. And that's why it hurt that much.
