Jokic didn’t get going offensively until midway through the game and still had a triple double. They have no answer for him. AG bullied every wing player who guarded him the 1st half, MPJ, KCP, and Brown were effective. Murray balled out as usual. They have a solid bench and I don’t see this series going longer than 5 games. Perk needs to stop the Joker hate 🤦🏽 and give props to Denver. Malone is an excellent coach and will make adjustments as well.

Heat's only chance is locking the rest of Denver's roster out of the game offensively and scoring efficiently and getting to the line. They have to shoot the ball extremely well and hope they can score joker and murray getting a bucket buffet all game. There's no way to slow Joker and murray down offensively, but if they can make denver's other players not score...they have a shot but butler is going to have to score 30 on 50 plus % shooting.

National media didn't go as much there before the game but now Perkins seems to be picking up on the narratives from the Heat side. By the way, saying most of the media were saying the Nuggets would sweep is not exactly accurate. Yes, the majority were on the Nuggets side, but most were picking them on 5 or 6. Only a few actually predicted a sweep. Cheers!

Perkins started the phobia for Jokic getting 3rd MVP. Had he not started that racial component argument with Jokic as favorite at the time, Jokic would have won 3rd MVP, which he deserves. You just have to look at Perkins career and what he says since he joined ESPN to realize that he was hired to be the "opposing viewpoint" for everything. The show needs at least two sides of any debate or discussion for thereto be dialogue, and that is he always does and he is so good at being "wrong" and embracing it, that he also adds controversy which is even better for them because it gets fan interest and the comments steam rolling and that is what they need.

Agreed. Not for nothin' but Bos v Mia game 7 Tatum sprained his ankle on the first possession of the game & Time Lord was in the locker room puking his guts out w/ a stomach bug 3/4 of the game. Should the Celtics let it get to a game 7 is on them but let's be honest here. W/ that said, Heat deserved to win & much respect. Denver playing like they should & barring any significant injury will beat the Heat in 5 games or less.

Only teams who could’ve beat DEN imo were my LAL and MIL. Other teams lack the size. MPJ and AG are seriously underrated. AG has size to matchup with JB and MOJ is the ideal shooter. He can get his shot off anytime because he’s so tall.

@@BaithNa I know they got swept but casuals like you only pay attention to the final score like the prior 48m don’t count. HOW game play out matter! Lakers lost by a TOTAL of 24 points whereas PHX, for example, lost by 30…in the CLOSEOUT game. Lol. There are details you can’t ignore and the simple fact is that the LAL where 1-2 shots worse each game than DEN and DEN was 1-2 shots better. So yes, those were the teams best suited to matchup.

Well this is nothing new for Denver. They are used to not getting praised for their wins. As if everyone else played bad the whole year. Everyone should just enjoy watching the games and hope that they will witness something historic. There is a poetic aspect of Denver winning the finals. I really hope they will, but even if they don't, no one can take away how much they improved. And at the end, fortune favors the bold, and Denver looks fearless this year.

I feel Heat's best chance came and went with Game 1. Too long of a rest and first time jitters and all that for Nugges. But now that those things are no longer factors, things look even more grim for Heat. Talent gap between two teams is pretty wide and real.

nah I didn't think the Heat were planning on winning game 1. Game 2 is must win. They aren't traveling and they have time to rest and do film study and actually prep. That being said, Nuggets are just a better team and were rusty. Joker is too good and murray is great too. Only hope is the Heat being very efficient scoring and getting to the line and the big thing is taking the rest of the Nuggets roster out of the game and surviving Joker and Murray going off.

The guys that they have at the wing positions are too big for Jimmy to bully. In order for Jimmy to get 50 this series he has to number 1 get to line about 15 times and get insanely HOT from 3. The Nuggets are not going to let him bully ball them, they have too much size to let that happen.

Miami doesn't have enough consistent fire power to keep up with Denver. Miami grinds out games, but during that three-game stretch during games 4 to 6 against Boston they struggled with getting any consistency out of their offense. Jokic isn't a guy thats going to get phased by any physical play. Miami's only hope is that can they stop everyone else and try to grind it out.
