@@d.columbia9603 Adding context, LeBron already had 3 head coaches in Cleveland the first go-around. He wanted the stability and leadership of Pat Riley to coach him like he did DWade in 2006. Spolstra was another new head coach with 2 years of experience. The problem is that people use Spolstra’s entire resume through 2024 to retroactively denigrate LeBron’s request. 2024 Spolstra was not 2011 Spolstra.

@LeXiO88

It's not that he isn't, it's that he's never had a coach who could coach, look at all his coaches with him and without him. People want to pit all yhe blame on LeBron but LeBron has never had a Phil Jackson, he's never had a HoF coach. Even Spoelstra has been worse without him. He's a decent coach but he's over rated. What has he as a coach actually done, and getting to the finals isn't the same as winning it. A player can carry a team to the finals, especially in an even weaker East.
@jojocapone4861
@jojocapone4861 20 күн бұрын
@@LeXiO88 No, it's that he thinks he knows more than any coach. He doesn't have to have a Hall of Fame coach for him to respect a coaches knowledge for the game. Spolestra has done just fine as a coach since Lebron left given what he's had to work with. He ain't overrated, that's bs to downplay that man's contributions to Lebron's championship runs in Mia. A player can't carry a team to the finals, idc how weak the conference is, it takes a team. And Lebron had a team every year he went to all those finals, he wasn't by himself. And y'all praise Lebron for getting to the finals all those times without winning it and still think he's the goat, but Spolestra getting to the he finals and not winning it doesn't mean anything, in fact you say he's overrated. Do y'all even realize the lack of respect y'all show for ppl who's help this guy win? Smh

This is why I feel analysts like Stephen A paint their own picture when it comes to sports and covering sports. If you’re going to tell the story tell it correctly. David Blatt was hired a few months before LeBron decided to go back to Cleveland. According to Stephen A, LeBron could have told the organization to hire Ty Lue over Blatt….How? The man was hired before LeBron came back. I agree he has had a lot of coaches. But putting it all on him is not the full story.

@@juanthompson8016 How many times have you seen a coach take accountability for a player getting fired (traded)? I've never seen a coach say I'm responsible for this player losing his job. Why should a player do it? I don't believe any player should be accountable for a coach being fired. Not just Lebron.

There is a Blame Graph 📊 for any fired coach; The Coaching staff, The players, The leaders, The front office. The issue is the LeBron Haters are trying to shovel 50% blame on him, 25% on the coach, and 25% on the front office. The Lakers have had 8 head coaches since Phil Jackson retired, and *16 Head Coaches in 34 seasons* since Pat Riley left. That included Phil Jackson's 11 seasons. *So in 23 other seasons, that's 15 head coaches.* If the Lakers had 3, or 4 head coaches from 1990 until 2018, then 3 from 2018-2024, I'd absolutely pin MOST of the blame on LeBron. But if we're discussing "Taking accountability," the Lakers Front Office cannot continue to escape this conversation either based on their track record.

Last i check, coaches have to be held accountable as well. Lets not act like Ham is a top 10 to top 15 coach right now. If a team leads a 5 game series for 68% of the time and still loses the series, thats a coaching problem. Everybody quick to blame Kyle Shannahan and Dan Quinn when ATL blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl, but now its all on the players? Man stop it!

The only time LeBron won back-to-back chips was when Miami stood behind Spoelstra and empowered him to be the coach. If LeBron had gotten his way in Miami, a coach now universally looked at as one of the best would have been fired. Jordan had Phil but Jordan also put his trust in Phil before Phil had won any chips. LeBron's biggest weakness is his habit of needing to influence his team. That's fine in Cleveland where they proved that LeBron needed to push them to improve but in Miami and LA, he should have taken a leap of faith. Instead, he tried to run Miami but couldn't and pushed LA into making moves they might now regret.

If you going to criticize Lebron James about the coaches - You need to go into detail into what happened with those coaches. Paul Silas - feuded with Eric Snow Brendan Malone - Interim Mike Brown - Nice success but you can't have the best record and lose to Boston in 6. David Blatt - Was hired as HC a few weeks before Lebron came obviously not his guy Lue - Great success but Lebron left to go to the Lakers - Now coaching the Lakers Walton - didn't make the playoffs in his tenure Vogel - wasn't exactly the Lakers 1st choice as lowballed Lue and Monty Williams and have Jason Kidd as a assistant - Did win a title but unfortunately the Westbrook situation went sideways. Ham - Hard to name a positive thing he done for the Lakers. The only thing I criticize Lebron James is the roster construction that I got to blame on him.

We knew Lebum was like this 15 years ago that is why Jordan and Kobe will always be greater than LBJ. The Lemedia just pushing agendas to prop up LBJ but we see right through it. Jordan and Kobe has soo much more to offer and they took accountability. The very respectable Michael Wilbon is 100 percent right and we appreciate his genuineness to say the truth. Jordan and Kobe has real leadership and they figured this out very quickly and might I say at a younger age. Jordan and Kobe formed Dynasties and they won back to back Championship twice in less than 15 years with their own team and won it with 1 Coach. It’s more impressive to graduate earlier. Even Steph Curry got 4 rings in less than 15 years and he got drafted 6 years after LBJ and S Curry is 6’ -2”.

I challenge Stephen A. Smith, Kendrick Perkins, and Shannon Sharpe to tell me who on the list of LeBrons prior coaches actually won a championship before he was on the team. He won his first chip with Eric Spoelstra, the video room guy that Pat Riley took a chance on. Has Eric Spoelstra won a chip since he won one with LeBron? Nope! LeBrons next chip came with Tyronn Lue, a rookie coach with no head coaching experience. Has Tyronn Lue won a chip since he won one with LeBron? Nope! Then we have Frank Vogel who was the most experienced out of the three, but the closest he got to winning a chip was the Eastern Conference Finals with the Indiana Pacers where the Miami Heat, led by Eric Spoelstra and LeBron James knocked them off. Has Frank Vogel won a chip since he won one with LeBron? Nope! As a matter of fact, he just lost another coaching job after short stint with the Phoenix Suns. The facts are, when you give LeBron the right coach and a few good pieces around him, he wins chips. LeBron has given 3 coaches their only championship rings, so blaming him for not going to bat for a coach that obviously isn't equipped to win is crazy to me. The man is practically 40 years old heading into his 22nd season. I wouldn't co-sign keeping a coach that I can't win now with either. His window is almost closed.

I love Mike wilbon he's a straight shooter and calls it like he sees it and I love it. He doesn't follow the same narrative that the rest of the media does where they just shove LeBron down our throats 24/7. Back in Jordan's day there wasn't even internet or social media. And everybody in every home in every city in the world knew his name. LeBron will never ever be that and Shannon wants to say he wishes he had coach spo for his entire career but he could have had him for most of his career but LeBron chose to leave because Pat wouldnt get rid of spo. He's a crybaby and anytime he doesn't win or something goes wrong the coach is gone and so is half the roster😂😂😂
