In fairness to Stephen, he put on this acoustic clinic right after he did a full set on the North Stage of the Portland Waterfront Blues Fest. He really was straining on a few notes but it's still good. I send this out to my friend Jim Friscia, who Stephen was talking to at the start. I think Jim requested this tune.

Stephen's ability to report on the life of the soul is irreplacable. He had a lot of heart.

I stumbled on Stephen at The Saxon Pub in 2000. I was absolutely riveted with his performance with The Resentments. What a loss. Thank you Stephen for what you left behind.

Moved to Portland from Texas 2 months ago. I'll be thinking of Stephen when this event comes around next summer. So sad he won't be here but his ghost will be.
