In traditional clutch minutes (games within 5 pts deficit with max 5 mins remaining): 1. Steph: 59/119 fg (49.6%), 32/70 3pt (45.7%), 39/41 ft (95%) 2. Demar: 55/113 fg (48.7%), 7/15 3pt (46.7%), 65/74 ft (87.8%) 3. Shai: 36/62 fg (58%), 5/14 3pt (35.7%), 35/39 ft (89.7%) Steph got involved in 43 clutch games and got a record of 23-20 in those games. Demar 24-16 (40 games) Shai 23-11 (34 games) Steph got 189 clutch points, while Demar 182, and Shai 112 Steph's total plus-minus in those clutch games is +21, Demar +94, Shai +68 So there you go. All players got a pretty solid case to win this award I think. If one considers volume more, then it should be between Demar & Steph. But if volume happens to not matter that much, then I think Shai should win it over those 2.

You have also made history by becoming the First NBA Player to win the Most Valuable Player Award (2) and now winning the NBA CLUTCH Player of the Year Award. I guess all that is left to do now is to win the MVP Award, the CLUTCH PLAYER of THE YEAR AWARD, the NBA Championship for the 5th time and the NBA Finals MVP Award in the same year. Stephen Curry you are truly a pleasure to watch and I hope you continue to make more historic feats in the years to come. @l31007 Nope. KD proved he was the better player by actually being the better player when they played together on the same stacked team. There is a reason KD easily won both mvp's during the two finals won during that 3 year run.

clutch = a tense, critical situation. By definition regular season games, especially for non-playoff contenders, are not tense, critical situations. The award is flawed. This would be a prized postseason award. But is something of a faulty and embarrassing regular season award. When sports fans talk about clutch play, they are almost always talking about playoff history or play (clutch) leading up to the playoffs. To ignore this fact and create the celebration around the regular season is absurd by comparison. Ultimately (in tense , critical situations) clutch players win championships. The NBA here is trying to prop up the regular season- but really they should be propping up the playoffs with this award.

@l31007 He has some of the best handles? Yet he's a turnover machine. How does that work? He's a "great passer," but is average at best as an assist man. How does that work? He's a "decent defender?" He's actually trash on defense, which is why the warriors scheme to hide him on defense, and opponents run offensive sets to iso against him. And he's not a great clutch player. Actual game history in big moments demonstrate that. Stop slurping, bro.

Some of the warriors loss was not just the warriors against the other team but the refs. I am so sick of them not being fair. You can tell who they wanted to win at the start of the game.

So, based on these numbers, can we finally Acknowledge that Steph Curry is a Shooting Guard, since there is no mention of his assist output for this award? Time to start comparing Steph Curry to Jordan Kobe D-Wade Iverson Drexler, and yes Durant.

Ngl I'm not really sure how they vote for this award. Cause Curry even tho he scored alot in the clutch, Most those games he still lost, SGA had a high percentage in the clutch and actually won games for his team because of the clutch shots he hit, IMO that should be taken into account
