I guess the idea was for us to be on Gypsies' side, but what they did just made a chain of tragedies. It was really really a bad curse that killed like a bunch of innocent people, and not even the itended target.

I love the book and the movie. I recommend getting the audiobook version since its narrated by Joe Mantenga himself. He does an excellent job at giving the characters their own voices, accents and inflections, He also does a great job capturing the emotions of the characters.

Okay, but the very sight of a high up mafia guy taking care of a problem HIMSELF with a MACHINE GUN is just one of the many things that makes this film too silly to enjoy. That is not how you mafia, that is how you Rambo, lol.

Or maybe it's an honor thing where he owed a favor personally, so he takes care of it personally. For me, the silliest thing in the movie is that fat suit.

It's probably not set in Maine because he wrote it as Richard Bachman. I remember hating this movie as a teenager, but I should try it again now that I have more of a taste for bad movies. Fun review as always!

I just watched this on KZfaq premium. It was better than I remembered. Cheesy fun with respectable practical effects. Yes the screenplay and dialogue are predictable and hackneyed but with the whole cast hamming it up to great effect it makes for a fun view !!

Loved the It’s always sunny in Philadelphia title cards! The funny yet poignant moments. Also felt like the wife was indeed cheating, but his paranoia is just too much of unreliable bias for the protagonist’s motivations.

This movie is silly, AND it's one of King's weakest books. The book IS better than the movie only because the book isn't silly. Actually, the book is utterly humorless, which might be one of its problems. Need a movie version with good enough effects to not look silly.

Might be why the adaptation is so silly. On one hand, back in the 90s plastering King's name to a title was a good way to drum up interest (though the even campier TV miniseries' that kept popping up at the time probably diluted it somewhat) but the source material isn't quite good enough to stand on it's own so at least the audience can get SOME enjoyment out of it.
