Im so fed up with fans feeding the narrativ of we need a new manager when all of the noise around the managerial position is from the media/internett and not the club. And even that Ste saying he dosent like making this video he is still feeding the narrative by making it and im not a fan. Why cant we give a manager that we fans asked for an chance when he did good his first season but then struggles in his second season and then calling for him to be sacked is sad to me. We never gonna give anyone an chance like this and we will never get back to the top like this.

His first season was not good. It was lucky. There is a big fucking difference. I am sick of hearing about the first season. We were 10th in expected points. We had the easiest keague cup draw of all time. The only hard team we faced in the FA cup, we lost to. I camnot name 10 good performances from that season. Fuck I can't even name 5. We were lucky, not good. We played exactly how we are now.

What a surprise!!) and now they are shit again, that´s it. The manager matters little with this management and these players. That is why we play like shit not matter who the manager is.

No manager has been backed as much as that clueless baldie but because he was lucky Liverpool and Spurs were shit last season he came third and yall are praising him. We concede 20+ shots against everyone including Luton, Fulham etc that’s why we get beat whenever we play big sides. Look at our terrible run in UCL, we couldn’t even beat Copenhagen and gala at home. he has no clear philosophy and relies on individual players to bail him every game. We are shit bro. With a better coaching and philosophy these players will perform. Name one player he has improved since joining? No single player! Look at what klopp is doing at Liverpool, it doesn’t take time for his new signings and even youth players to get used to the style of play. You will know a good coach when you see one mate.

In our current squad, how many players can play with high level workrate like liverpool? I can only think of dalot,garnacho, martinez,mount,rasmus... this team tried it for 30mins against crystal palace with ragnick and gave up.

Dalot isn't good enough, Garnacho isn't good enough, Martinez is constantly injured, Mount isn't good enough/is constantly injured, Højlund might have the stamina but isn't gold enough. We need a completely new team to compete with the current top-3.

So you're telling me there's another manager who wants to do what De Zerbi, Arteta and Pep do and manufacture transitional moments through controlled possession and a high press. Cool. That's what Ten Hag wants to do as well. So we can keep Ten Hag, or we can sack him and watch another manager fail with the same group of players. When is the penny going to drop? You can't get Evans, Maguire, Varane, Lindelof or Casemiro to control possession and play out of a press. You can't get them to play on the halfway line, you can't get those centre backs to step into midfield comfortably. Dalot can, Mainoo can, Martinez and Onana can. Shaw can (when he's fit). Hopefully we get a Todibo type and I really really want Calafiori from that Bologna team, he'd be perfect for our squad and our injury troubles, covers for Martinez and when Licha's back Calafiori can cover for Shaw. Hopefully we can get a second midfielder who is comfortable playing out of the press, maybe thats Mount, maybe we have to buy a partner for Mainoo. But if we don't and we're stuck with the same players and the same holes in the system then THIS SYSTEM does not work, and changing the manager doesn't magically make it work.

Change manager and the bulk of players, ten hag hasn't shown he can cut it at EPL. Irrespective of players our goals and defensive stats are in the bottom 5. I would go far as to blame the manager for most of the injuries. IF we dont get rid of the manger he'll get new players and he'll face injuries and again the cycle of present season will repeat. Getting more than the sum of all individual players is a very important trait missing from Ten hag.

Ten Hag literally won 3 leagues back to back while rebuilding his Ajax side with some cups and champions league semi final before leaving, and look at the options being thrown by media at us fans to make fickle fans give up on him. If we really sack ten Hag for these kinds of options instead of making INEOS fix the functioning and squad, it'll be pathetic.

I don’t agree with everything Ste says but this is so accurate and the best reasons why we should stick with Ten Hag but also what we might go for IF they decide other wise. If you are at your job and your boss ask you to do your job and 4-5 other things nothing is going to be done right something is going to be neglected. Nothing will be done 100% right if the systems aren’t there for you. In this case the football suffers but if we put the correct systems in it should work for Ten or whatever other knob we bring in. The point is if United has their systems and everything together above the manager we should be able to bring in whoever we want. We need to be able to provide the Manager with tools for success! If he doesn’t have the tools how can we expect him to be successful.

If he came into this current team right now. After 2 years people would be saying, no style of play, no tactics and there would be holes all over the pitch. We only have a handful of players who are intelligent enough to play different tactical formations or have the workrate to make any tactical weakness very small to exploit.

I’m so glad you have brought up Thiago motta, bit gutted there is very little links to us. Watched Bologna a handful of times this season and his teams play some beautiful football. I think if ten hag was to go, I like the idea of an up and coming manager with innovative and interesting ideas, motta has that. Plus he had an underrated playing career, he was a very intelligent footballer. Only concern maybe is his lack of English, which I feel has been of ten hag biggest hindrances at United, as he struggles to articulate himself at times.

I put my trust in the new half owners and management. I am patiently waiting... I believe that we will get there I'm supporting my team while we are on the low and i will be there to enjoy it when we will be on top. I must say that I got so much joy from watching Liverpool and City and i can't wait for my team to play at that level again. All negatives aside I do appreciate all the players and staff who are giving it their all. They know who they are.

Something that I think a lot of you maybe are missing is that if Ineos's plan goes right it won't matter if we have to sack whoever we replace Ten Hag with because the plan will continue and we'll just find a replacement who also plays the style we want. Ten Hag is the last "manager" we will ever see at United if things go right. Rather than who the next manager is--we should be asking what style of football do Ashworth, Sir Jim, and Berrada want to play.

If you follow American sports it would be head coach vs general manager. Top clubs have mostly adopted the coach approach. We're one of the last ones trying to have the manager be the everything

Watching Bologna a few times this season and I see the same issues that we have now. Wide open midfield and basketball pace. Perhaps the few times I’ve watched them was an anomaly but I’m not sure he’s an upgrade.

History shows that many successful managers have taken time to get things moving in the right direction. Sir Alex is a perfect example of that, with his job on the line and only saved by winning an FA Cup match by the skin of his teeth. Pep and Klopp both struggled for well over 18 months when they arrived at City and Liverpool respectively. Now is not the time to change manager and at the very least he should be given to the end of his contract and see what progress is made.

It would be interesting to know how many shots we have faced with varane and martinez at CB compared to any other CB combinations. Is the issue that our efforts of playing a high line with at least one too slow a CB, is inviting the shots on our goal? The fact that you said that with the right players and the right system he will be successful is true but also true for EtH. The fact that Thiago has been unsuccessful with the wrong players and the wrong systems in Spezia proves what an amazing job EtH has done with a squad having Martial, Maguire, McTominay etc. He doesn’t have a squad - there is no 1:1 replacement for Martinez, Casemiro, Holjund & Bruno - arguably the 4 most important positions in the team. The squad depth in wing back positions in abysmal. With the wrong players but available players EtH proved that he can attain a certain level of success last year but with no players even he will fail. We are literally dependant on Garnacho and Marino day in day out - so bad is our squad depth. They are good no doubt but if they get injured we have no cover, we have no option to rest them - it’s pathetic. Can’t expect any coach to succeed with a squad as wafer-thin as this.

I would respect the decision to get rid of Ten Hag as long as INEOS wait until the end of the season. I can live with that, but I think all this "manager out" noise is bad news, it filters through to the players. I don't want to watch them downing tools against Liverpool. Ten Hag in.

The issue I have is, would the players do what the manager wants, ETH wanted United to play how he had Ajax playing but the players wouldn't do it hence him going I can't play how I want, yeah you go well get rid of the players and get in who the manager wants., ETH has tried to get in players who he wanted that could play the way he wanted but has struggled, yeah he's got some players in but not everyone who he wanted and when you think he might get them in at the next transfer window the rumour is that he's going to get replaced so then you have to start all the process again. United have a thing about getting a manager in who wants to play a certain way, they tell the manager he has time and then sacks the manager in the second or third season so its like whats the point.

I’m not sure it matters what manager comes in… the squad needs a full overhaul. There’s no players who can set the culture, no players who can pull the newer players through harder times. So we’ve just got players who are used to recycling the manager every few years once things goes tits up. We need a total overhaul.

I think the performances have and will be the deciding factor but i personally think Erik was never making it to next season. We heard early on about a proper system wanting to be put in place and it was almost immediately met with "Erik wants to keep all the power when it comes to transfers" It's just never happening, Yes he didn't get all his first choices but the choices he did get have been so hit and miss. Mostly misses if we are being brutally honest.

We need a manager who knows how to make a great meal out of scraps and that manager is Simone Inzaghi. Last year he got into the CL Final with Onana in goal and this year he has already won the Italian League with Mkhitaryan, Alexis Sanchez and Darmian in his team. Inzaghi is the guy we're looking for.

I feel like if we're going to hire another manager then De Zerbi is probably the most obvious appointment. I think hes one of the few coaches around that seem ready for that move up to a big club and hopefully by then we'll also have Ashworth and a recruitment expert. ETH to me has been a victim of poor timing, im not quite sure what hes building up to atm and I think the fans feel very frustrated at that. We probably wont get top 4 and maybe that makes the decision easier for the execs. I hope theres clarity on this in the future. I think you're right theres no outstanding candidates here, there are promising managerial candidates that are all a risk to some extent, maybe with the exception of Inzaghi who in my opinion has shown hes a winner.

You make a very good point in ETH defence that I'm sure had not even occurred to most of us. The point being is simply what he has had to put up with in such a short period. He has actually had more issues, injuries and crisis ( especially from players) than Sir Alex had in 27 years! That is incredible!

Thanks for the video Ste, but too many of these players down tools no manager could make any major style changes with them.... Ole was right! He got them ticking at their best rhythm, park the bus and counter... I would like Erik to move 10 out and 10 in before we consider his position , I think he weeds out the weak quite well, not sure if he picks the strong so good but he is good for chopping the deadwood and we have loads of that

Concerning tactics (and especially in relation to Pep) why is more not said about the need for tactical fouls when performing a high press. Barca did it, City definitely do it now. Less chance of a card if you do it early and gives your defense the opportunity to set and not get countered.

Motta’s neutral formation is exactly what we play under ETH. I am just concerned that the current squad is ill suited to play these tactics. The team lacks cohesion and understanding of what they are supposed to be doing. Whether that is because they are thick or they are choosing mot to follow the manager’s tactics remains to be seen, but performances under Ole at the end and Rangnick suggests too many of these players cannot be counted on when the going gets tough.

With the right players, the right structure and right system, all managers should be a success....the problem comes when one or more of those elements is missing, which is what Ten Hag has had to deal with throughout his time at United. The fact that your preamble acknowledges the problems the manager has had to put up with since arriving, the majority of which were not his fault, highlights why he is under so much pressure, particularly from the agenda driven media who fans latch onto. Before he tipped up everyone was screaming to get him, he's the future. When he arrived it was all about how we've got our man, but giving him time is essential as our problems won't be a quick fix. Now, even though he's only been here for 18 months working in our shambles of a club, we're on the mooch for yet another manager?...Honestly, it makes me question if we as fans deserve anything better, given our lack of patience, despite knowing the state of the club since the vermin arrived in 2005.

ETH IN all the way. All these managers but there has never been a real audit or assessment of the squad. We've been giving average players big contracts, overpaying transfer fees and we've never given managers time to build a squad good enough

With new owners and a new structure, I think/hope we will be getting a new manager as well this summer so it's a completely new era. Nothing against Ten Hag but he's clear he's not good enough at this level.

I dont want a new manager at this point. It's a pointless bullshit merry-go-round. So many of these players are dog shit with a worse attitude. No manager is ever gonna succeed here until the players have been removed and the club has fundamentally changed. Giving ten Haag the sack now just means we're back to square one where the players still have the power. Just remember what ETH had us doing with a reasonable fit first squad and no striker last year. We saw glimpses of that when we had our first eleven back, until they all got injured again. If we sack ETH now, we do so because of the same horse-shit players that's gotten the rest of them fired.

The 2-7-2 thing is stupid, though. It doesn't tell you anything about how the team is lined up except that you have two wide players on either flank, ie. almost every single possible formation out there. Is it a 4-4-2 or a 3-4-3 or a 4-3-3?

I think we need a motivator until the squad is turned over by the new system. Less a EtH who needs specific players to make his system work and more a Gary O'Neill who can motivate poor players to play well in an effective system.

Motta is still learning as a coach. We need De Zerbi, although he has never really won any big trophy, which is a huge negative, as we need a winner, not just a guy who can get us playing good stylish football. Also, Liverpool, bayern, barca and maybe chelsea and juventus are all after coaches this summer. So why would De Zerbi want to come to us? Brining Jose Mourinho AKA the special one, would be great too. I still believe he has it.

Didn't agree with the signing of Mount but I think it's slightly harsh to bundle him along with Anthony. Being injured and not featuring isn't the same as being given numerous chances and repeatedly failing.
