Job looks great man. I own a paver company on the space coast and we offer sealing at the time of installation. I've been in the game for 16 years now. My only suggestion is to invest in a better sprayer. SMK and Seal-n-Lock makes one that fits on top of a 5 gallon bucket, 25ft hose and 20v dewalt battery. Game changer. Keep up with the good work man.

What company? I am a foreman on a landscape/paver company. My crew does the demo for the paver install crew and then we also do the hardscape install stuff like paver edging for landscape border. I’m in the space coast. Melbourne. But I live in PSJ

I’m going to attempt to pressure wash and re-sand her driveway. As far as the sealing goes does a regular pump sprayer from ace work and also do I need to look into getting a specific tip to attach to the pump sprayer wand? What ratio or brand sealing should I use for a shine wet look. How long does my grandma need to not walk on or drive her car after I’ve finished the sealing of her pavers?

Thank you Sir for responding back. Will definitely get that sealer you use. Probably going to need 4 to 5 gallons. That’s ok. I am also thinking about getting one of those scrubbers too. Or rent one when it is time to clean them again. Thanks for the 20/30 sand suggestion too. Just need sand that locks fast and keeps the mold off the pavers. We have a Forrest in our back yard. Very easy brother. I was afraid of doing it in the beginning but it's quite simple as you see. Minimal equipment is needed and the water based sealer is easy to handle.

I'm in Tampa near Brandon. Working on my 1st brick paver small area next to drive way. Lowe's and Home Depot seem to have limited selection of stones, where are good landscape supplies in the area. New to brick pavers.

Nice job as a painter I feel compelled to recommend you get a spray shield from Sherwin Williams or where ever to use up against siding put it on an extension pole and your spraying straight lines

Man, the training was the shiznit. We did the cobbleloc last week. Actually both products are a win I guess in the end comes down to feeling out the customer. Great job my brother! Been needing a video like this. Couple questions... How much sand and seal did you end up using? And did you apply while the pavers were wet still?

Thank you. I used about 1.5 bags of sand and 5 gallons of sealer this job. I waited for the pavers to dry some and I used to blower to help them dry faster. Using the silicast you dont have to wait until theyre completely dry thats why I love it. I can knock out a job all in few hours.

Hey Cliff, After watching your video I decided to add paver sealing to my business, thanks Bro (really good profit). I did a driveway that came out looking really nice. The only thing that I noticed was that it was raining like a week later when I went to pick up my sign at his house and the water was rolling off the pavers but it was kind of slippery. The customer never said anything, it was just something that I noticed with the silicast.

The silicast is their version of the wet look sealer. So if anything when it's wet it's probably more shinier. It's definitely not slippery that's another aspect that I like about the product.

Getting it my dude!! Appreciate the content. Question if I have a full dedicated soft washing machine 12v blend system and a 5.5 gpm pressure washer when would I down stream vs using my softwash system and why?

I mainly use my soft wash system for rooms. The advantages of downstreaming is u use 1 hose for application and rinsing. The downside is if you don't rinse out your hose thoroughly you risk blowing hoses cause they will deteriorate. Using the softwash system u gotta pull out an extra hose and a big advantage of dialing in a hotter mix if you needed to.

Great Video! Thank you for taking the time to explain the process. I’m building a house in South Sarasota that we are closing on next month. Pavers just got installed and sanded so it will be all new and looking to seal them to avoid ants and mold (in backyard Lanai with a pool). Do you think I can do it myself? I have a pressure washer (if needed). Would I need to pressure wash and all even if it’s a brand new house with new pavers just installed few days ago wirh sand still around them since they usually pressure wash all pavers few days before closing. Appreciate it

Yes you certainly can do it yourself. You wouldn't need to clean the pavers since they'll be new. Just use a blower go get the dust and anything on top of the pavers. They're already sanded so that's an added bonus for you. For sealer I'd suggest a eater based sealer so you're able to spray it with a pump up sprayer. Do not buy sealer from home depot or that BEHR stuff lol

Deco products silicast. Welcome to the channel. This is an old video. On this channel you'll notice I have all the bells and whistles. 12v sprayer cart, pump up sprayer and 20v backpack sprayer. It's all about GPM. Higher GPM bigger surface cleaner it will operate. If u get a little home depot 2.5gpm you'll be able to use a 12" 16" surface cleaner. If you have a 8gpm you can push a 32" surface cleaner

How do you keep the sealer spray out of a pool when the deck is pavers? Our pool and pavers were completed in September, but the pavers have not been sealed.

It's not going to hurt the pool. The sealer isn't being sprayed in the pool. A little overspray may get in there but it's so small that a pool with thousands of chlorinated water won't be affected.

Typically around 1hr. It will feel tacky under your feet cause the 1st coat will be drying still.

This sand isn't sold everywhere. They have certain places that sells it. So im not sure where you would get it in Orlando. Try hotsy of Orlando or contact Florida silica sand company to find your nearest dealer. I purchase mine locally in Tampa.

Whats your best technique for removing triangles? day 2 day we use the broom to sweep it into the joints and remove most of the sand then come with the blower.... the only thing with the blower is that you sometimes blow to much out and then you blow some sand into another part and form triangles on another part of the driveway... Ive sealed, and have seen brick pavers sealed with sand on top of the pavers and its a headache...

Yes you can surface clean it. Only way to remove sealer is by using a paver sealer stripper.

I just dry fit the pavers to see how it looks. I'll have to pull them up and add more paver base. (my 1st brick task) so after sand just get the wet look with sealer let it dry ?

Yes after sanding the pavers just seal them with 2 coats. Idk which sealer you're using I can't speak for other brands as I've only used the brand you see on the video.

I announced what I used. But as far as a cheap sealer I'm not completely sure since I've never tried anything else except deco products stuff

at around 1:30 on the video i said what we used. Deco Products Silicast but i mixed it with another deco products sealer called travacast to bring a little more shine to the pavers. I normally dont mix them, in fact this was the only video I actually mixed the 2. The manufacturer actually is testing mixing those 2 products themselves as we speak. So who knows maybe in the future I will be using that too.

I used the same sealer recently on my patio pavers. I’m coming up on 48 hours almost and it’s still tacky, it is fully covered and the pavers only get sun exposure in late afternoon. Anyways! Will the tacky ness go away? Not sure what I did wrong if anything

If its tacky after 48 hrs its probably not dried. Is it a covered patio? Did you let the pavers completely dry before sealing them? A recourse you could try is to add a box fan to aid speeding up the drying. But yes it will go away.

I use deco products sealers. And silica sand is the sand. The sand I use is not widely sold so any silica sand will be fine.

how long after the final rinse of the sand on the driveway did you start the sealing. How much does the wetness of the driveway matter when sealing?

I wait at least 2 hours. And it's hard to say how wet it can be. It doesn't have to be bone dry but you don't want to seal over standing water or high moisture spots.

What PW setup do you have ? Machines, hose reels, how much feet of hose you use ? You use a hot box or cold ? You like a machine. I washed like 200 houses. Just want to get faster, better process and techniques. You the best person I came across. I wouldn't of minded being under a person like you when I 1st started. Your a beast at your craft. I have an 8gpm honda GX690 pressure washer, 2 18" Inch titan hose reels, and a 12 inch water reel. I keep 150ft on the reel for pressure hose and 200ft of soft wash hose. I had a hotbox but never used it so i sold it 2 months ago. Thank you brother i appreciate the support and well wishes. I wish you all the same! Check this video out. Will sealing prevent rain from soaking through to the basement? I never have water In my basement until I ripped up the grass and put in pavers But I noticed he didn't seal it

To the basement? That I'm not sure about. Sealing is supposed to repel the water and make it run off the pavers rather than penetrating the pavers.

Typically yes 2 coats. Unless they're high quality pavers which aren't as porous. The sealer name is disclosed within 2 min the video my man.

Sh doesn't affect paint unless you're getting it on organic paint or being careless by applying hot mixes or not rinsing thoroughly
