Is it me or Stereophonics are underrated?

This is an incredible coincidence. My friend died three hours ago from Covid complications. I found out about this song about an hour ago. It happened to be sunny this Friday morning. The lyrics fit in so many ways. Thank you Kelly Jones. I won't ever forget this.

I've had great memories with many of the Stereophonics songs for more than two decades...since 2001 with the J.E.E.P. album. I've only seen them live one time...It was Mayan in LA and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to...hope they do a U.S. tour again soon.

Scary the amount of talent for songwriting this guy has, song written 12-13ish years ago, was a b-side and wasnt suited to the album back then and can pull this type of song out for an album all these years later and still be so relevant

I'm peppering these videos with comments about how good this album is. I've been a fan since the very beginning, and there are no bad Stereophonics albums, but this one is really good. This album has that beating heart that the boys are so good at writing and delivering.

I’m an English lad, used to be an English boy. Living in Dolgellau. We all used to go Session Fawr. Hardly understood a thing, but me and my school mates used to go. One year, Stereophonics were playing there! That day was my first day tasting Smernoff Ice!! And that same day, whilst walking through the crowd, I saw Stereophonics……..I asked for a picture, and the drummer, (RIP his soul) came right over and physically licked my face from my chin to my forehead! 😭😂! You know when you have mates in your life who just wanna have fun, he was their mate! Wish he was mine!!! What a day! Catatonia also played that session, when they moved to the Marion. Such is life! Thank you such a wonderful song and video. “...Wish I could fly away Forever, I wish I could take your pain for you and release you...” I lost or rather my Grampa passed away on my mother’s birthday this year along with everything else going on. This song is special to me too cause it speaks of taking away one’s pain for another and releasing them. Well while I’m certain it can be done for a while. I’m also reminded that it can never be fully taken away even if there’s good and bad in that. A part of that stays with you or I guess makes you who you are even through change even though we are always changing. People say to take your time, hurry up and wait, the choice is yours, don’t be late or hesitate, your enough or just no or you’ve got to be positive, this or that, or are you going to do this or not. Oh what do I know. I know I’m trying to do what I’ve said I would do. And I’ve had to shut it all off too before in order to come back once before, but regardless situations and circumstances are always sort of different and more transparent than before. And there are still so many darn things I need and others need and want and it’s all important and relevant. You can’t take it away, but you can and you did, just not fully. I’ve got a bunch of work to do, we’ve got a bunch of work to do, but it also involves others that I know and do not know. Stereophonics have been my favorite band since I first heard them on Planet Radio back in 1997. Greg Brady, the music director played them and then played them immediately again because "he could." Lol I thought that was awesome and I told him he had great taste. I was fortunate enough to see them open for Bowie at Chastain Park in 2004 when most in attendance thought they were a local band. I informed them they were massive in Europe. They definitely need to return to the States to do a tour and hopefully closer to my home this time. I would rather not have to drive 5 hours but if that would be the only way to see them again I would make that drive!

Music with real feeling, genuine emotion. This is what is lacking in a vast majority of music these days 😍😍😍😍 so happy to have been young when bands like this were massive! Best times

Words can't wield the aspects of love and appreciation I have for this band, nor can they quite cover the attachment I have to this song. It's older than most think, it first came about as a B-Side to "You're My Star" (My second favourite track) and to hear it re-done and to see a music video is absolute bliss to me. Thank you.

Been a fan here in Sweden since 1997, bought all albums ever since then, seen the band on tour in 2008 and 2012, will definetely see you guys again.

Roll Up and Shine was on Radio 1 on my drive home one day and I had to pull over because that first time hearing that beautiful beautiful voice and grinding hard rock sound penetrated my soul! I remember how this song change my life. 2012 my father was diagnosed with stroke, my siblings are an asshole thus they left, as the last child in the family it's an obligation to taking care of your father. It was super hard, I had to see my mother cry, everything I need that was available suddenly gone and I had to work part time while studying. This song become my one and only friend in that cold night coming back from teaching English to my father's hospital and sleep there while hugging my mom on the hospital floor. And today, we didn't talk anymore. Funny how life could turn sideways so quickly.

Always loved these guys. One of the most talented uk bands, these last 20 yrs. Seen them live 10 years ago and they remain top of the best performance I've experienced. Kelly Jones sang like u were listening to a stereophonics CD. Unreal.
