That state and Ohio made me start to think that there’s some type of space time anomaly in the mid west, you can drive a life times worth and it’ll barely have been 2 hours. Had a buddy tell me that the mid west is the only place you can watch your dog run away for 3 days without leaving to porch . . . I didn’t get it till I did sone trucking in the mid west for about a year.

Having divorced parents who got stationed in multiple in different places gave me a pretty cool experience growing up. I've been to almost every state in the US and have lived in multiple states twice. I think growing up in the same place only to stay there your whole life sounds boring, plus traveling opens you up to new cultures.

I love a lot of things about this beautiful country: the variety of landscapes and nature, the variety of cultures (you inherited elements of French, English, Spanish and even Nordic cultures), its history of a breakaway colony. Thank you, Russia bro. Don't believe the media, normal Americans don't hate Russians. If you visit, I would recommend not going to major coastal cities. I would also recommend finding a way to do a long drive across the western half of the country. My favorite highway is Steens Mountain Highway in southeastern Oregon, just make sure the weather is good.

People are thin because they're outdoors, do hard drugs, are homeless, or are simply part of the upper middle class. Variety is the spice of life... I live in the southeastern portion in a rural town. I'm a different breed of Coloradan, but yeah, I'm thin, lol. No drugs. I have an exercise routine and practice portion control. I'm currently staying in southwestern Texas. The rural community is similar, but it's mostly Mexican-American rather than the mostly white and some "white Hispanic" population at home. Rural US is culturally similar depending on the region. Urban and mountain town Colorado are significantly different than the rest of Colorado. I still drink kombucha and visit a yearly New Age festival though because nothing is 100%.

Nope, at 1:01 the photo for “Illinois” was actually in Camden NJ. I say “was” because they leveled that entire street and those houses do not exist anymore. That specific photo of houses was on Arlington st off of Chelton ave taken in 2004. I live 7 minutes from Camden in Blackwood NJ and literally just last week, I saw that exact picture so I wanted to set the record straight lol. And trust me, Camden is not what people make it out to be, not anymore at least.

Well they are stereotypes for a reason. I’m from PA and while Amish people are a common occurrence, that’s mostly the interior of the state where they’re most common. Man completely overlooked Western and Eastern PA entirely which are completely different from the interior but that’s also not the point of the video. It’d be too much for a low effort shitpost to go through and call out stereotypes for an entire state.

Connecticut was actually first mentioned in an Eminem skit titled “Ken Kaniff (skit)” on the Slim Shady LP, where Ken places a collect call to Eminem under his full name “Kenneth Kaniff, from Conneticut, automated piece of shit”. The name is quite long and of seemingly noreastern indigenous heritage. Even tho Mr. Kaniff’s name seems to claim direct descent from a land called “Connecticut” this is most likely a poetic metaphor for “the land where one lays one’s head”, as you’re correct….Connecticut doesn’t exist. Similar in concept to Agartha.

@@retro2103yep. Twin Peaks was filmed with sets and scenes from North Bend (where the diner is located). Not far from North Bend in Roselyn was where a lot of Northern Exposure was filmed as well. I am full aware I am exposing myself as old and a native. 😅 The majority by square mileage of our state either looks like Montana on the eastern half or looks like British Columbia/SE Alaska on the far western half (not SEA/TAC area around the Sound). I've lived in both areas my entire life, but have never attempted to live in Seattle or Tacoma areas. I'm not that brave.
