I have this exact microphone, and it's great. (Of course with a bit of touching) it captures singing and screaming really well! I definitely recommend it from a vocalist point.

It sounds decent to me. A lot of people EQ their mics to sound like that, so it's down to preference. A lot of the Sterling microphones also come with nice transformers. Some people prefer their microphones without transformers but I like the warmth and character transformers tend to give.

Very articulate sounding mic with some good character and presence. I'm thinking it might really sound good in the mix for singers

A busted one might make a good donor for a project, mic-parts has kits for Sterling mics (dunno if this one) I'm not loving the sound on this one tbh, but its hard to fault it at that price

Not to drop any names but I’ve watched while I’m waiting to pick up a load of stuff and they stop production and change the packaging to great value. The only difference is the bag. There are some things that actually have a different product spec but a lot that are the same. This mic sounds decent enough for the crowd I hang out with. 😉👍👍

Definitely nice with some proximity on a budget. And the "store brand" image is fully counterbalanced by well-worn psychedelic Alex Grey flaming heart chakra Tool shirt 👍

Highly underrated mic, I would say sound wise its way richer than the SM7B, i generally EQ my SM7b to sound close to this but SM7B doesnt have the harmonic sweetness this mics transformer adds to it.

@Obscure Mics so I just bought an SP150, and man that thing is just horrible. I paid 30$ but it's so bad, it's just garbage now. I thought it would be good because the ST51 AND ST151 were great. Stay away from the SP150/130

@hatemabada2020 depends the 151 has character. The 2035 sounds more sterile out of the box.
