Yesterday rumours began to circulate that Dutch Pinball were not going to be making Back To The Future but instead it would be made by Stern. Nobody would have paid much attention had the news not come from and official Stern distributor in the US. Later during the day Pinball Machine ITK Kaneda revealed that the rumour was indeed a hoax!!!

Just the opposite over here in the States. We're all still shocked that Stern lost out or passed on BTTF and Potter, for that matter. It's probably why this rumor stated. Someone just trying to wish it back into existence. We want a BTTF in every barcade in town for the mases to enjoy it, in person with online capabilities. Honestly i can't even wrap my head around it going to a company that's been building one game for 8 fricken years. Not to mention the price. Maybe it will be great but who cares if nobody ever gets to see it and enjoy it!

Back to the future is one of the greatest films ever made. It's pretty much a perfect family film. The musical is incredible too. Such an authentic homage. I've been twice lol I don't know too much about pinball, but I watch these vids as a member of Hammers Chat. I always find them interesting. Keep up the good work mate.

It was Manchester, not Broadway that Back to the Future the Musical started at, albeit with a curtailed run. I saw it there in March 2020, just over a week before the first lockdown.

I think that such a big theme needs a big company to support high production numbers. Big fan of Dutch Pinball, but the company is to small for this theme. I think spooky does this very well. Boutique pinball companies work great with niche themes. Love your videos BTW.

I have a Deadpool and Batman66. I enjoy them and they're amongst my favorites. Competition is good though and more manufacturers should make Sterns production line more consistent.

$tern cuts too much for the money for me. Sure they might be reliable(mostly) but they barely put anything in the pro which forces you to buy the premium to get a decently filled out game. Im tired of the recent pros just being glorified homepins

I agree . . . if they do Jaws it will have to be a Premium because the Pro's are stripped.

I would say Jurassic Park is an exception to that, though it’s from 2019. The Pro doesn’t lose anything from the premium except 2 animated mechs. The animated T-Rex slows the game down. I purposely bought the Pro because of this and to this day it is still my favorite game of all time.

@GonzosPinballFlipperama I already feel like $terns severe lack of ability to get assets is going to hurt theme integration in Jaws and that they are banking on the fact that it's an Elwin game and Jaws to sell it alone. I honestly think their greedy corporate mindset is their biggest enemy and why intellectual properties won't give them as much as they could. They look at their other machines and see the amount of cutting corners cashgrabbing going on, and they limit what they will get. I don't blame them I wouldn't want $term shitting all over my IP with a hastefully thrown together game whose code is subpar at best at release. Bond code is still a bit of a mess. They have added more stuff but it's not cohesive. It's all over the place.

Congrats on getting the 2 Spooky machines! As for the addiction, yeah it started with 1 long ago with a used Shadow...then I said OK ONE NIB which was Mando Premium. Lol, well of course that didn't last and Bond LE, Scooby CE, and Godzilla Premium have joined the club. I really am out of space but man that Looney Tunes CE looks nice..and I need to see the Jaws lineup. I am trying hard at this point to hold out for a Harry Potter if the JPP rumors are true...we shall see!

@@GonzosPinballFlipperama you know B66 (Catwoman Ed) was ALMOST my first NIB but I couldn't quite decide or commit to the price at the time. Funny considering a few years later what I paid for that Bond LE haha! I am sure whatever takes the place of your B66 will have earned the spot!

I kinda hope Stern does do it. Then I might actually be able to afford one lol. I know Dutch will o a great job and I'd love a big Lebowski but I think they were like 22K NIB down here in oz. That's just a fkn ridiculous price for me. Shit, a NIB Stern prem is 15.5K now and that's already testing my sanity and making me shit my pants lol.💩 And I wouldn't be surprised if the greedy bastards put the prices up again. Although ya usually have to go on a waiting list to a get a machine down here but distributors have actually got machines in stock for a change because interest rates are goin through the fkn roof, the cost of living's getting tight and people just can't afford to pay that much for a machine. And it's pretty much the same in the U.S. I see a lot of comments in the FB groups from U.S. people complaining about the prices. Stern will be killin em selves if they put the prices up more. 🤷‍♂$$$💩🤮

Who knows about Back to the Future or Jaws. I not super into rumors. I really liked the way Barrels of Fun came out with Labyrinth. I like to be surprised and have no idea what is coming. Someone said to be but you don't know the shot layouts. That is the surprise. I think it was summer of 2022 I visited Jack (Deadflip) at his studio for an evening. He said if you see anything laying around about the next game. You did not. I guess he was working on it there?! But I did not actively look for it. Or wanna know about it. I wanted the surprise and was so happy I had that. Be careful with Keneda. I modded for DeadFlip for years. After the Bond 60th stream he made claims me and other mods where banning people asking about the 20K price. Or why it was 20K. He also made claims he has been banned there. And he is not. He was timed out for being rude. And we banned people that kept threating him. So clearly willing to lie for a head line. As a result I had a few of his listeners message me as the stern shill. I never been paid by stern. Would be nice but I volunteered my time for the love of pinball. Same with Tater. This hobby is filled with so many awesome people that I love so much. We don't need to be tossing them under the bus. Or creating problems for them just for a headline that was not even earned.

To answer your question is to state the absolutely obvious Michael . . . of course I don't think MJF wants to build a pinball machine and nor would I want him to. Fortunately it actually doesn't matter and they'll build an excellent pinball machine irrespective of his involvement. Ryan Reynolds played no part on making Deadpool and Sean Connery didn't have any input on George Gomez's Bond either. . . I could go on but I'm sure you get the point.
