@@cassandranelson3512 we will disagree on this. I had T-Mobile for a decade and worked for Verizon for a decade. Those companies don’t care about their customers. There’s only one bad thing about US mobile everyone should know. They have an issue going on with their services. People have been complaining about their data completely turned off randomly even though it shouldn’t be happening and I’m a victim of it as well. It happens every week and it’s getting annoying to the point I’m considering switching. I have one option left so if it doesn’t work I’m switching. It doesn’t happen with every phone, but just a heads up to be cautious because it might happen to you.

Very helpful info. I'd love to know if you have info about what to do when you live in a dead zone. With both AT&T and T-Mobile, we have to use a microcel (I think that's what you call it) in order for our cell phones to work at all as we have less than one bar cellular service and there are no plans to add towers in our area. I'd love to pay less than the $45/month we pay T-Mobile, but do these chaper provders work with one?

Don’t do it! Let’s say your bill is $160 for 4 lines $35 per line activation fee $10 per line for auto pay, because discount doesn’t come until 3rd month. Pro ration 30-60 days, so your bill is double first month, Trade in credits don’t hit until 3rd month. Any employee or teachers discounts don’t hit until 3rd month. Plus fees and taxes. Average first bill is about $400 plus dollars. If I worked for the company named Cydcor, save your self.
@Bestintheinternet
@Bestintheinternet Ай бұрын
@@llexplosionll9453 Those credits are retro active so eventually the bill should balance itself out within the 3rd bill because you will get credits that you missed out on the first 2 months. And as well there is a promotion right now where activation fees are waived

I would like to confirm. With a US Mobile family or shared data plan individual lines can choose, and switch between Tmobile and Verizon networks if they want to? Are restrictions to how many times this can happen? I currently have 6 lines with Tmobile which is great, but there are places where Verizon coverage may be better, or some users would simply prefer to be on the Verizon network. Am I understanding this correctly?

I am ready for a HOTSPOT / Plan round-up list just like this one. I have spent at least 30 hours, searching and searching for a decent hotspot plan. I am basically looking for a backup ONLY source, say 3 days, to run my home Internet (which is my Home Phone, my Television and, well, my Internet) when the hurricanes find me in Texas.

I want to transfer my existing landline to a cellphone. I want a plan that lets me buy my own cellphone and pay for a service plan annually when service is activated. I want no monthly phone bill for smartphone. I want to own it outright from day one, so I already purchased a new phone from best buy {unlocked). How do I proceed, once phone is in my possession?.

@StetsonDogget thanks for this fantastic video as always super helpful, a quick recommendation, can you include the promo exp date on the post? I just tried to activate using the Visible code and it has already expired =/, anyway keep up with your great content, is there an update on the Coverage Mapp for Android with the Speed test built-in like in iOS? Thanks
@StetsonDoggett
@StetsonDoggett 2 ай бұрын
I added expiration dates! Strange that the Visible promo did not work for you. The terms and conditions on the Visible website say the promo is valid through 6/30/2024. The Coverage Map for Android should be updated in 2 months with the built-in speed test feature! It is taking a little longer than expected because we are re-building the Android app from the ground-up.

I think Cricket and AT&T Prepaid are your best options! Cricket offers unlimited everything for as low as $25 per month if you pay annually. Otherwise your options are Cricket Unlimited or AT&T Prepaid Unlimited MAX. I'd personally probably consider Cricket for a better app experience for managing my account. • Cricket Unlimited Annual ($25) - www.bestphoneplans.net/plans/cricket-unlimited-12-months • Cricket Unlimited ($50) - www.bestphoneplans.net/plans/cricket-unlimited • AT&T Prepaid Unlimited MAX ($55) - www.bestphoneplans.net/plans/att-prepaid-unlimited-max

Just a thought when you give recommendations for family plans. Perhaps make two suggestions for small vs large families. In my case we have 7 lines, so even pointing out the cost per line above X number of lines can help. It's the only reason we've stayed with T-Mobile so long, since the lines reached a point of only being $20 each.

Agree, have noticed Cricket frequently gets overlooked in Stetson's videos; it's really hard to beat the Cricket Unlimited+ plan with truly unlimited priority data. Admittedly, I prefer buying my iPhones outright and not be on what is essentially a 36 month contract with one of the major carriers (free phone is just a contract by another name).
@MegaLokopo
@MegaLokopo 27 күн бұрын
@@GCMac87 Their plan isn't as good as it looks when you read the fine print. Their unlimited priority data is only compared to their other plans, so you would be prioritized above other cricket customers but below even the cheapest plans on proper at&t.

@@MegaLokopo incorrect, Cricket Unlimited+ is QCI 8, same as AT&T Premium/Elite is now (since they were quietly downgraded from QCI 7). Please feel free to point out this “fine print” you’re referencing.

@@GCMac87 That is the old way AT&T labeled their plan priorities. They now have all of the MVNO's plans always below the lowest level of their own plans in terms of priorities. For two lines, it turns out it is typically best to put each line on its own plan suited for that line’s needs! Otherwise I’m a big fan of US Mobile’s 12GB shared data plan. $33/mo for 2 lines. Depends on what your data needs are though!

Nice list as usual. When will you test Metro Stetson? The only real disadvantages that Metro has compared to other T-Mobile MVNOs is that they tie the SIM to the device but they have improved their website and app to make the process of switching work much better than they used to and hotspot data isn't included in the BYOD $30 ($25 with autopay) plan but is easy enough to work around on Android devices to the point I would say that shouldn't matter for anyone not using an iPhone. You also have to port a number to get the BYOD plan but that's not really something that should be an issue. Metro has an online activation portal for devices that support eSIM even and people can pick up a $10 SIM card at Walmart and use the activation portal too instead of having to deal with stores. No activation fees when signing up online. I would say most people with decent T-Mobile coverage would be happier with Metro's BYOD plan than Visible basic since T-Mobile's network doesn't tend to suffer as much during congestion and Metro has access to some of T-Mobile's roaming partners. There is even a $10 per month HD addon which means when Visible finally kills off HD streaming on Visible+ 1.0 (it's already gone on 2.0 and they've said that it was never supposed to exist on Visible+ 1.0 either and will be fixed), for $35 a month on Metro, people can get unlimited data and HD streaming. Customer service is definitely better on Metro, especially if you would like to not have to chat with people, since you can just call 611. I've had Metro since July and I've had service issues exactly zero times (I lost service when trying to transfer my eSIM between devices but after it happened a second time I realized it was just the Samsung eSIM issue, I never hear about it happening with other devices and transferring from my Samsung to my Pixel always worked, so I don't blame Metro for this as I see people having problems with eSIM on Samsung devices on other carriers too). Contrast that to Visible, which I've tried both basic and Visible+ multiple times over the years, and every single time there are issues. Whether it comes down to being unable to check out when signing up (has happened twice), losing 5G access (happened to me in December and required me to switch phones to fix it), having unusable data on the basic plan during severe congestion, having to make a new email address because they have blocked the use of Gmail aliases (which really just pushes me to use a temp mail service and a virtual card number I can just cancel to end my service), their app failing to provision the device properly, or the ineptitude of customer service, Visible is just a real headache to deal with.
