As a ABs fan, I was very impressed with the ENGLISH squad their defence, attack, counter-attack put pressure on the ABs and reflected the nature of the game. How quick things could change. The 1st-Five is definitely a talent, and their loose-forward trio are outstanding! I will always support our ABs and beating the team in Eden Park will be challenging but this English Squad is up for it and says the 2nd Test is anyones!

@@mylord4916Think George Ford who was injured for this series would be considered our No1 my friend , but Marcus is being backed by Borthwick at present as long as he can show he’s ready now to control the game at 10. I feel going forward he’s the man and ready now , but I trust in Borthwick in what he’s doing.

Great match proud of the England team great defense. All Blacks first game and still not at full strength. Both teams will get better over thr international season. The fans certainly got money's worth today.

Close game. I think the AB's had a good tactic in the second half to keep play tight and up-field, creeping to victory with kicks rather than risking a loss in expansive play.

England did much better than I thought they would do. As the kick- chase was a plan for England I am surprised they did not use Tommy Roebuck, who is brilliant in the air and is very strong. The NZ pack was far too strong for England and fear this will be a major problem at Eden Park. Finn Baxter had a good game, which is a big positive. England still give away far too many easy penalties, which cost them this game!!! Another positive was England looked far better in their application of the blitz defence. I think NZ looked rusty but this will not be the case at Eden Park. It may be advisable to let Henry Slade take all the kicks off the tee. Well done England and keep in the fight!!!

Do think it’s a good point regarding Roebuck Micky, though England did still have good in the air players on the pitch the last twenty minutes . I remember two fin smith kicks where no body even chased let alone challenge. Could have performed better last ten minutes but kiwis didn’t allow us really. But well done England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Good thing for me is England did enough to win but Lost. It was definitely England's loss as opposed to NZ win. NZ will however be a different beast next week as it was their first hit out but on the same tone the England players are at the end of a long hard season with their clubs.

English lads should be proud of the intensity and mana they brought to the 1st international test. Played hard up front and carried with purpose in the tighter and wide channels. Close game defensively with fine margins throughout the 80mins.

Playing at home, over 200caps more, 2 year older average age, knowing Englands game plan/style while the English had nothing to go on how the abs would play, England team are tired and been playing for 13 months now!
