Bergeron Bergeron!!! As a Hawk fan I admit great admiration for Bergeron. He is one tough dude. Physically and mentally. Great player.

As a Bruins fan, can definitely confidently say that the better team won the '13 Final. But I absolutely could not believe it when I heard Bergeron played with a seperated shoulder, cracked ribs, and a PUNCTURED LUNG. My daughter's four and she watches every Bruins game that isn't on after her bedtime with me ... I can't wait to one day tell her that together, we watched Bergeron turn in one of the best seasons of his career in '21-'22 at the age of 37. 🤯 What a privelage it's been to watch this dude's career.

And on this day, Patrice set in motion a chain of events that would spiral the Leafs that season to a tank season, finishing 30th. This would give the Leafs the best odds of getting the projected #1 overall pick, Auston Matthews. The following season after drafting Matthews, the Leafs made the playoffs for the first time in years. When you think about, Pat's jinx in this video is what gave The Leafs the #1 overall pick, and an excellent return to the playoffs. So thank you Patrice, for giving us Auston, and helping Steve heal.
