I agree with Steve at 7:17. The NHL needs to put a new rule where coaches have a time limit (preferably 45-60 seconds) to either make a challenge or let the restarting faceoff go. Hence any stalling beyond that time limit should be a delay of game penalty. Congrats to the Avs, all Avs fans and Producer Drew.

my understanding is they were arguing how they didn't blow it down as the arm went up and they sorta had possession, which I do not believe is something you can challenge; I would say in this situation it was the refs who caused the delay by not being confident on their calls.

Best night of my sports life. This game made my 5 year old son an avowed Avs fanatic. Seeing him scream “That’s what I’m talkin about!!!!” When the Avs went up 2-1…best thing ever.

I was 8 years old when I watched Sakic hand Borque the cup, was the greatest sports memory in my life, even over my team winning a gold medal. This sport is incredible.

Did Cooper congratulate the Avs at all? I think every goal must have been a missed call and the Avs didn't make a single legit goal. Thats how he sounds and acts. I really didn't like Cooper in this series.

I remember back in January between the Oilers and the Devils, there was a similar situation, where the Oilers scored a goal on a delayed penalty, but the Devils thought they’d touched the puck. So New Jersey challenged the call, or at least they tried to. After nine minutes, the officials come off of the headsets, declare it’s a non-reviewable play, the challenge doesn’t count, and we’ve just wasted nine minutes of your time. I’m pretty sure it made Dang-Its that week.

It's a running joke amongst Avs fans. They gotta start calling delays on those 'non-challenge-challenges'. Refs just need to drop the puck. If TB wants to risk a penalty then challenge the damn goal. Otherwise shut up and score more than one goal yourself instead of trying to get every goal against reversed with constant complaining.

Lekhonen is the type of guys that the Edmonton Oilers must aim. Seems that their focus is to sign Evander Kane for big $$$. Are they forgetting that they got 22 goals in 4 games (5.5 average)? They must get better defensive guys and a good goaltender.

It wouldn't feel right if TB just accepted that sometimes you get scored on. Yes Tampa, you too can be scored on. Hard to believe right you arrogant a-holes? Coop should really consider a career in politics. I have an idea TB, score more than ONE goal in an elimination game instead of crying about every goal the other team scores. Tampa was really bad on offense being shutout for 44 minutes straight, their defense was as usual as porous as a block of Swiss cheese. There are a lot of older players they need to get rid of. Predictable power play makes it easier for the Avs to defend against. Props to the Avs for having a bigger heart and drive to win than the Bolts. Two calls or lack there of might be questioning the refs with payola from Vegas oddsmakers. When you have FOUR referees not seeing things reminds you of the George Floyd murder where the 4 cops didn't see anything wrong.

I think both of the Avs goals in that game should not have counted because of penalties that were not called or were called incorrectly. They may well still have won, but I’m inclined to say there should have been a game 7.
