One of the finest pocket drummers in history! Steve's groove is always impeccable. I could listen to him playing on his own and be perfectly happy. Thanks for a wonderful interview with a really inspiring fellow on so many levels..

There was a period of 8+ years, in the past, that when Steve was in town I saw him nearly everyday. Steve had a big impact on my sobriety, Even though I haven't seen him for years because I moved, I often think back to those days. I'm grateful for him. BTW I'm coming up on 17 years. Thanks Steve.

Phenomenal groove drummer, his pocket is exceptional every time. Gimme the three Steves for any drum project Ferrone, Jordan or Gadd. Mickey Curry too is a fine groove drum like the Marotta Brothers Rick and jERRY.

Tonight just been to watch Steve play 3 tracks in a small pub in Hove called the Brunswick with a tribute ban for the heartbreakers. Not only is he a world class drummer he is the most humble man you could wish to meet.

Steve ,I ghostwrote for Petty 1987,and I'm a good timekeeper is all,not a real drummer, which drove Stan Lynch crazy in rightful indignation, with my very basic playing. You were perfect since your emphasis is the key, knowing dynamics, variation to cover for my weakness.

You didn’t ghostwrite for SHIT…what delusional horse shit…Tom Petty is arguably the greatest songwriter ever…and wrote EVERYTHING himself
