«I just... I wanna help.»
I swear I had another song for a more cheerful and upbeat Steve video but I really needed to make this one first.
There where litle details from season one that made me love and care about Steve already. That quote of the title "no parents, big house" I think out of context it says a lot, that difference between Nancy's mom not leaving her daugther out because Will was missing and in the other hand Steve's parents going away and leaving their son alone... I don't know, maybe I see too much on those little things but I can't help it.
I think Steve is so alone, we see him in season one surrounded by people that aren't friends that don't care about him really, and I always thought Nancy was his way to reach to something real, with meaning. And he lost that in season two sobbing
I'm so happy he found an unexpected companion in Dustin, I can't wait to see what these two will do together :D
I want to give a HUGE thanks to Anja for helping me find the perfect song (THANK YOU!!) and for all the previewing like always :')

I think it’s interesting that the fights he lost were to people he knew, almost like he held back a bit because he didn’t really want to harm either Jon or Billy. The demogorgan and the guard were mortal threats and Steve’s “fight or flight” instinct seems to pick fight almost every time.

The mental, emotional, and physical torment that Steve has been through is so drastic. And the fact that he still is able to put on the facade of the cool, suave jock is incredible. Season 4 needs to center around what Steve goes through at home. When he’s away from people. When he’s not being watched. That’s the Steve we need.

A lot of people talk about how much Steve went from High School Jock/Prom King douche to “Mom”/“Babysitter” Steve, but I love that he also refuses to encroach on Nancy and Jonathan’s relationship despite Jonathan having done that to him. He’s clearly still in love with Nancy, but respects their relationship anyways. To me that says even more about his character development.

Tbh I kinda believe that Steve can beat up anyone but he chooses not to. Like he thinks he deserves the pain Edit: I know some people disagree but I think this is the case for what happened with Jonathon and in certain other situations. I mean I definitely think Steve would have beaten J, I mean he literally beat a demagorgon and couldn’t beat Jonathon? Uh I don’t think so. I believe that he could have squashed J if he had wanted to, I do believe that Billy won though because Billy is a lot stronger. I think that maybe Steve has a few issues because he beat up a Russian guard, a man trained to hurt people and he couldn’t win other fights which were probably a lot easier? I’m also not saying Steve is depressed I more so think he thinks he deserves pain sometimes. Also took some ideas and thoughts from the comments, to add to the reasoning for me saying this, so thanks to those people for adding to this. Also thanks for all the likes ahh I’ve never had so many

Yeah it’s crazy how much the show really does a ‘show don’t tell’ with Steve. We’re dropped little things from Steve like his dad being “a grade-a asshole” & he would kill Steve if he found out what substances he had at his parties. While on the other hand, his mother is either valid in her concern about her husband cheating on her or she’s paranoid. Their business trips, it seems tend to turn into vacations, so they’re gone for like weeks on end. It’s interesting in this really sad way when you realize how many main characters’ and sub main, parents we see, and Steve’s is like the only ones we don’t.

@@uoluvr I don't think anyone is blaming her for not being in love. They're blaming her for being a bitch. She's got so many issues, and even with Johnathan, she doesn't even bother to recognize that she's the problem. That's a toxic kind of person, and so yes: Steve deserves so much better than Nancy. And so does Johnathan.

Liv nobody blamed her but she tried hiding that she wasn’t in love with him and couldn’t even say I love you she is selfish and should of told home instead of lying about all the I love you she said to him she really broke his heart and is most likely going to break Jonathan’s ❤️, hopefully one day she will learn to be loyal and honest with people but until than she will keep breaking hearts

Steve's characters development is incredible. He went from being a asshole, to being a person with a big heart. He loved Nancy since the beginning. Tommy and Carol made fun of him cause he cared and was worried about her in a episode in season 1. Steve was the most loyal boyfriend to Nancy and he basically got cheated on. But that didn't stop him from loving her. Steve said "Nancys different she's not like other girls." there was just something about her that made him love her so much!!!! He became a better person because he wanted to be with her. He changed for her. Steve wants to be with Nancy but he knows she doesn't wanna be with him. That's why when he said "it's ok nance. It's ok." for her to go with Jonathan, it broke my heart. He just wants her to be happy. He deserves someone who will truly love him, to replace the love that Nancy never truly gave to him.

I guess in the first and second season he was bad ass and in the third they made him look weak idk my opinion

Steve is a character who grew up alone, his dad, as he puts it..... is a massive douche. He is a kid who grew up alone witha dvice from his douche dad, but he isnt like his dad. He is going through a redemption ark in where he has to learn abput past mistakes and move on. He will be eventually be the strongest and most badass character within the series since he is the only one to kill/ battle a Demogorgon/Demodog without firearms. He will eventually fill in Hopper's place as guardian.

Very well edited and very hard to watch at the same time. I think there's a lot of depth to Steve's character; even in the first season, you could see he had a good heart but lacked a support system/good influences. I also think it's telling we've literally never seen anyone from his family and all we get are tidbits like "my father's a grade A asshole" and indications that they're gone a lot/his dad cheats on his mom. Anyway, all I'm trying to say was this was beautifully done and the parallels and characterization all make it so poignant- which you just don't see enough of from Steve videos in my opinion. Great, great job and phenomenal editing. Thanks so much for sharing!

Steve Harrington and Negan from the walking dead are two sides to the funny guy people. The comedic people who want to do well but end up being the bully or bad guy. They lose everything and nothing goes their way. "We like Steve but we don't love Steve". We just smile and joke through the pain, protecting those close to us at out own expense. We are the smiling saviours doomed to struggle. I hope you meet someone like me someday though know no one is like us.
