That msn wrote a book based on his experiences,the bad choices he himself said he made in his marriage’s,saw others make.Yes this man has a right to tell his story admit his wrongs but to do it to trash his ex,make accusations against her sone 31 years later while using her husband,his name of 16 years to get a Bag is wrong .He went to prison based on what he was doing not Steve,him saying his ex was involved but he took the blame is just pure lying .Then if it is true what msn would want his wife pregnant with one of his kids ,the other about 5,6 years old go to jail,maybe upend up in state custody and worst would have happened to them.Again many say she was had both their kids before she was 20 years old,Jim has said he was 15 years older then her and yes based on her age and his now it is true.Some introduced her too this life and she had to be a minor based on Morgan’s age when he got a hold of her,taught her the business.This man now wants to play innocent 31 years later,act like he was not a big drug Kingpin ,acting like she was supposed to at her young age hold down a man that was given life along with his two kids while he parented from a phone ,then visiting a prison as if that is normal.The stupid slow women who do this sicken me because in essence they too are doing the time and making their kids do it too.Yes she can be held to the carpet some what for after 5 years of him being in jail p,after then moving own she get involved again with drug dealer’s ,that life and bringing kids into it along with having another child by another drug dealer.Many learn the hard way after he too is kicked away and her taking the chance later on Steve was a blessing to her and her kids, because he took her and her package,treated them like his own,provided for them which few women or kids experience worn their mother gets into another relationship.But still black folks find glee in trashing and trying to ruin him when he has said many times throughout his career the mistakes he has made,gave to others ,black folks but many will uplift a msn whom used to sell poison ti his own people to get the lifestyle,women he wanted.He give him the kindness ,grace of changing his life after getting out of jail for many years but not Marjorie .Now do Steve phage to get she is money crazy yes,not let her handle his money yes,put a Trust in place to protect all his kids even her kids he adopted along with her Yes.But as far as her wanting a man she knows is a provider and not picking those who, may know this but did it in a very dangerous way,bad for our people way who can blame her.She just had to not hurt that man,use him until he has nothing left after what he has done for you and your kids .

I agree Redemption and forgiveness. Mr. Townsend's book is his testimony. There are books and movies out about Trap Queens and King pins. They do interviews about their former lives in the drug game, relationships and time served in prison.

Snakes get such a bad rap and they don't deserve it at all. A snake never ever goes out of its way to bite a person. They help keep the rodents that carry diseases and destroy your crops under control. The only time a person gets bit is when they step somewhere too close or reach for something without seeing the snake and it gets defensive. Or sometimes when they're trying to kill it. Rats will climb into your bed with you and bite you. They'll chew through the walls of your house, eat your food and poop in it too. I would've named the book "Rats in the Garden." 😂

When Steve and Marjorie told the story on his show Of when they first met, they agreed that it was when she went to his comedy show and he actually stopped the show as he was so hypnotized by her beauty then he announced " that's my next wife." He was married to Mary at time. However, they left out the truth which is they met years before that. Why they didn't tell the truth could be that Laurie is his biological daughter and Marjorie Didn't know at the time which one of her men impregnate her.

He said on Taska K that she was only facing 5 years in jail but as her husband…he did what a provider and protector is supposed to do! She was loyal to him for 20 YEARS post lockup! I think a lot of people are missing Jimmy's point. He took a rap for Marjorie. SHE should have also been in jail. However, he made sure she remained a free woman. That's a hell of a sacrifice. While he was in jail, she used his contacts to move cocaine, which meant she CONTINED to sell drugs. Some of you feel that he belonged in jail for selling drugs and helping to kill his community, but what about her? She's not innocent, either. Jimmy and Marjorie remained friends, even up until three days before she and Steve were married. During that last conversation, Marjorie told Jimmy that Steve was like her father. Jimmy told her that if Steve was anything like her father, she had a good one. After that last conversation, Marjorie cut Jimmy off cold turkey; no conversation, no explanation; just cut him off like they weren't better than that. Jimmy told Tasha K he understood that Steve may not have wanted her to continue a friendship with him, but that he felt there was a better way for her to handle the situation, and I totally agree. Let me remind y'all that HE KEPT HER FROM GOING TO JAIL. Yes, she owed him more than that. If Jimmy is bitter about anything, it's the way she totally threw their friendship aside. He's not bitter for marrying Steve. However, as he's learning the depths of Marjorie's and Steve's relationship, he's discovering that she may have cheated on him with Steve, and that kind of changes the course of things. I'm quite sure the shock of that is a bit jolting, as learning of that kind of betrayal adds another layer to the situation. On top of all this, Steve should have played his cards better. He should have WANTED to at least PRETEND to be cordial with Jimmy, even if he does consider him to be a threat. The SMART thing to do in a situation such as this is to keep your enemy close. Play chess; not marbles. Lastly, people are saying that Jimmy is throwing Marjorie under the bus because of what he's revealing about her in his interviews and book. Well, Jimmy has the right to tell his story. Unfortunately for Marjorie (and Steve, for that matter), she is a part of his story. Not to mention, who can blame him? Why should he tiptoe around her NOW after the way she treats him and after learning of how Steve really thinks about him? I bet Steve is under a lot of pressure. He knows Marjorie is with the highest bidder, which is why he is aware of how important it is for him to continue to remain the hardest working (and highest paid) man in the business. Can you imagine if a better-looking, higher bidder came along, or if Steve's stocks were to plummet?

I get it... Mr. Townsend might be allegedly bitter, he expected a lifetime friendship from Marjorie since she was once his wife, is the mother of his children, took the rap and kept her out of prison. He basically said, Majorie didn't commit to her part of the bargain. He never heard from her again after she married Steve.. That's the price she had to pay for being a wife and living a lifestyle of Drug pin. You and your children are serving time also. The book is leverage... had Majorie not married a multimillionaire celebrity I doubt there would have been a demand for his book. Mr. Townsend, ex-husband is included in the package along with Majorie and their son... now that he's out of prison. The daughter of course, kept her Father's last name. That speaks volumes....Steve should have been cordial to Mr. Townsend. Kept him close and not become a enemy. Steve allegedly knew and accepted Majorie's past, it came with consequences. As, for the "Wholesome Brand".. the latest rumors about allegedly cheating with the body guard destroyed it.

If my mom said that she wasn't coming to my child's birthday party because my dad would be in attendance, I'd respectfully tell my mom to have a nice day wherever she'll be present that day and that I won't be changing a single letter of my invitee list; it's about the children, not my parents. My dad's face WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE PLACE regardless of whether my mom attended. But I likely wouldn't have that problem because my parents were mature, selfless adults who prioritized their kids' & grandkids' needs.

Mr. Townsend is genuine & credible. I would like to know if he encouraged Marjorie to get with Steve and if so, in what ways. He mentioned he thanked Harvey etc for taking care of his kids which shows transparent truthful character.

Mr. Townsend is so interesting. I will be reading the book. I love his honesty and I love that the book is just him telling his life. It’s not his job to protect Steve Harvey. He is scum who has treated all of his previous wives like crap. He has a karma to face. Marjorie as well because she played a part in what he did to his ex wife Mary. Not cool.

Great interview! I respect his honesty and his calm demeanor. You can tell he's a man of integrity because he's in no way pointing any fingers at Marjorie nor is he talking badly about her. He just speaking HIS truth.

I’m watching the interview now on my television bcuz I can’t watch anything longer than 15 minutes on my phone and I had to make time I wasn’t interested in hearing Mr.Townsend until you started speaking about him and once you said you were interviewing him I was very interested bcuz I do know you tell the Truth and I appreciate you for your honesty and not bashing people without facts like many bloggers do putting out several videos a day that are hear say, I’m halfway through the interview and I’m very impressed with Mr.Townsend and I will be ordering the Book

So now it all “makes sense” why Marjorie had Steve Harvey to adopt her children…this helps to further hide the real paternity of the her kids, who were approximately 22, 15 and 9 years old when she and Steve married. I wonder did she have to have her ex relinquish his parental rights so that Steve could legally adopt? Maybe it’s covered in the book. Regardless, I’m glad to see that he seemingly has a relationship with his and Marjorie’s biological children, Morgan and Jason. I am indeed impressed with his graciousness, humility and intelligence.

I believe Steve Harvey did do the Shay Sha interview as a rebuttal of Mr. Townsend’s book, because all the things that have been said about Steve he never acknowledges them publicly, but now that Mr. Townsend is talking people are listening, and Steve is worried. Write your book Mr. Townsend.....🥰

You have to have gone to prison to understand the loyalty that’s why Laurie‘s dad understood the relationship that she had with Jim. If you haven’t been in jail people don’t understand why you’re still communicating with that person and the loyalty you should have for that person.
