I got a Gordie Howe autograph in 1966 in Sault Ste Marie and he signed a program I had. It was at a hockey tournament and he was coaching his two sons Mark and Marty and I handed to program over the glass for him to sign my program. I still have that piece of paper. It is signed Gordon Howe.

I count my self so lucky to have seen Gordie Howe play twice at The old Olympia near the end of his “ Red Wing “ career. Just his prescence on ice was magnificent to behold. RIP Mr Hockey. BTW, in 2024, you will have a bridge named after you connecting Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. As I look back on 2016, we lost 3 huge giants of North American sports and culture: Muhammad Ali, Gordie Howe, and Arnold Palmer in that calender year. May they all RIP.

They announced a name change of the bridge in advance? Why the delay? Seems odd.

Old Time Hockey, Eddie Shore, Toe Blake, Punch Imlach, and Gordie Howe. And the Hanson brothers for comic relief, eh?

Listen to how Melrose and Gretzky talk... it's what happens when you don't finish high school.
