Randomly came across these interviews when researching the summer of love in San Fran. I grew up in Byron bay but haven't been back for many years now.. and as soon as I saw this man and his face I remembered it straight away. When I was 15 I went to a doof party in tiagra airport and took acid for the first time and took too much.. I went alone and knew nobody.. I started to freak out and this man came up to me and asked if I was ok.. I will never forget his face.. I didn't know him so immediately the paranoia set in and I just started yelling.. He found a friend of mine who I didn't know was there and the friend drove me to hospital and I spent the night there. I saw him in passing on the street on occasion but as a kid never thanked him. If he reads this and remembers the young girl freaking out in tiagra that was me.. And I thank you. Peace and love to all xo

From Canada I showed up to Goa in '88 and made way to my first "full-moon" party. I was expecting a live band or fire lite acoustic guitar circle on the beach.....clock-on midnight down at small Vagator IT started.....the BEAT!! I never heard of "techno"..no idea... I wandered down to the site and couldn't believe my eyes...and ears!! This is the sound of VOODOO I said to myself. All I could do was sit and smoke my chillum .....smiling and shaking my head when guys came by to offer "Buddha LSD". That party lasted 5-days - non-stop music. I made it back to Canada 3yrs later, with a smile on my face and totally unemployable!

I like very much this interview and also his personal description regarding a "before" and "after" of music that was playing in Goa. Hope to heard new interviews regarding that time.

I'm not knockin this, it's groovy stuff, however what about the guys on acoustic guitars and tabla, didn't they get pissed off when the amps and speakers arrived . . ? I was at Eddie's house South Anjuna Xmas 1969, didn't see any electric lights, let alone music, and that was just fine .. . but all things must pass and the last time i was in Goa, 5 years ago, the po-lice seemed to be stopping any music that wasn't in the disco's, so we've come full circle and the Goans now have what the West had
