Steve Martin's one of the best comedic writers still working. I wish they would still let him screenwrite his own movies, and not just hire him to play generic old comic-relief roles. We really need another movie like "The Jerk" where they just wind him up and let him follow his incredible comedic instincts. They DON'T need another "cheaper by the dozen."

I'll give you two *of* the greatest comedians ever. But there are so many others that could vie for the top two... George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Carol Burnett, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy... and a personal favorite, Steven Wright..... I'm probably forgetting a few!

Dude this is classic comedy I grew up on and haven’t seen for years. It reminds me that comedians were ok with not being cool and they were the edgy people in society. Most impressively no swearing, no religion, no politics. Just pure champagne comedy. And improv too. Bloody oath

I'm struck by how professional the two of them are. They ad lib and genuinely enjoy the offhand jokes, but when one of them is setting up a joke, the other lays back and gives them the stage. And their timing is flawless. Add them to the pantheon of great comedy duos. They belong right beside Martin and Lewis, Abbot and Costello, and Burns and Allen.

Maria Β Damn, you are the only one I’ve seen who has complimented Fallon on how he handled that. It annoys me how honestly people think Jimmy is fake and phony. Why?? Because he doesn’t act like our like he has a stick up his ass and he acts goofy?? Same with Conan. Colbert, Corden, Kimmel, Noah, Oliver, and Bee...constantly talk about politics. BOOORRRING!! Your job is to make people laugh with actual humor, not regurgitated echo-chamber applause breaks.

@@BRO77TX I agree. I mean some of the time it's a little over the top, I think he needs to dial it back but mostly I think he's trying to be friendly. He doesn't seem to take himself too seriously at least on the show. I don't know what he's like off camera but personally I like his show and don't mind his fake laugh. I like other talk show hosts as well, and I think it's good they don't all have the same interview style.
