I was lucky enough to meet Steve in a night club in Wakefield. He had time for everyone amazing man . Greatest back rower nrl has ever seen . Thanks for the memories bever

I met him at a pub in Manly many years ago. He sat down, had a beer with us and talked footy with us for 30 minutes. He is a really good guy.

Hands down one of the greatest forwards Australia has had. Tough, fast, hit hard and could play in most positions on the field and a humble bloke to boot. I wish a few of these new players would take a leaf out of his book.

Menzies was my best friend's favorite player. You know, back in the days, the first thing we do inside the classroom before the class teacher walks in is nothing but telling rugby league stories. Specially on Mondays, cos we would have many stories and results of the weekend NRL games to share with each other. Each of us have our favorite player, I don't really have one fav player back then but I used to support the Broncos. Yeah Boskey Pidian, wherever you are, I am watching this and am thinking of you. Stay safe brother, look after your family and hope we see each other again after 20 odd years.

Ya hear the old “try scoring machine” cliche get thrown about but that phrase has jumped into my head, now, and I suddenly can’t think of him any other way. Just made for scoring tries. Amazing.
