Its shocking how good this guy is at his age. 80 years old and sounds the same as he did 50 years ago.

This is the rock and roll I grew up on. My dad was always playing Steve Miller on the car stereo and home hi-fi system. Great talent, great guitarist too of course.

Saw them open for the Eagles last night in Cleveland. Great band! Steve sounds great for an 80 year old guy! The drummer (Ron Wisko) is a machine, and their keyboard player was insane, too!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact the Eminem let us know Steve Miller is alive in 2024!... And as Mitch Hedberg (R.I.P.) once said: "I think it's funny that the guy who sings 'The Joker' is named Steve Miller and the guy who sings 'Fly Like an Eagle' is also named Steve Miller. Man, fame is weird, 'cause now everyone knows who Steve Miller is, but they still don't know what he looks like. I want to be famous like Steve Miller, but I don't want anyone to recognize me." 😂

Everyone has heard the Albums The Joker, Fly Like An Eagle, and Book of Dreams. Those were his top selling with the biggest hits. However, some may have never heard his late 60s albums. He was way ahead of the times. His LP Brave New World sounds like it could have been composed this year. 👍

That's the good stuff actually. Fly Like An Eagle is the last Album I bought. After that, they all sound the same.

@@peach495 Have you heard his album Italian X Rays? It’s heavy on synth but it’s got some great songs. The song Italian X Rays is really good, and he could teach a master class in funk music with the song Shangi La, which imo is one of his best songs ever. I think it was released in ‘84.

I love SMB so much. Yet Abracadabra makes me nauseous... Radio fodder ... One of his few suck up to radio other than funky kicks going down in the city. How can I love the band so much yet struggle with that earwig?

That hit song is 41 years old. It’s time to get over the fact that he charted with this one. It was a catchy one at the time (1982) to any of us who weren’t biased against pop-oriented songs.. a cool video &his last top 10 hit.

I hate it when the crowd has to sing…..nobody paid to hear them.
