I just had the privilege to witness them live like a month ago in a small pub. They were really awesome and fun. After the gig their accordion player came to talk to me in merchandise section and he was one of the nicest guy. I even bought their newest album. Great reaction video guys!

This band is from Jyväskylä, city where I was born. Never heard of them before. Amazing it took Canadian youtubers to make me aware of them. This cover is amazing, I laughed out loud several times :)

NO! actually this band is from Hankasalmi / Hoho, where i live now and since little kid. hankasalmi is smaller place 45km from jyväskylä.

Now you can check another Finnish cover band - Eläkeläiset (Pensioneers). They do metal covers, but also covers from other music styles - with corny instruments. Basically kids instruments also. Mostly they use instruments that I remember music teachers using in school, or teaching us kids to play. So the many training instruments we Finns met as kids like mandolin etc.

A co-worker found this video a couple months ago, brings it up at work every so often. I have to agree with, "It's Awesome" Didn't know they are from Finland though, Makes it even better, as the country side/background could be Kentucky or Tennessee in my opinion. I'll definitely check out more of their stuff.

They've got lots of videos, and they're all quite fun stuff - lots of self-deprecating comedy and references to all kinds of fun rural tropes on both sides of the Atlantic. All their cover versions tend to be really well thought out arrangements that contribute to deepening your mental attachment to a given heavy rock/ metal classic. I've seen a couple of their live shows and I do recommend seeing them live whenever you've got a chance.

I've watched just about every Steve 'N' Seagulls video! Thouse guys make bluegrass of anything, and the videos are fun to watch. Glad you found them too!

You all never stopped smiling... Steve 'n' Seagulls are brilliant musicians with awesome sense of humour. Their versions of "Nothing Else Matters" is terrific and "YOu Shook Me All Night Long" also has the Finnish Women's Hockey Team.

If you enjoy this, you might like Eläkeläiset. More often than not, they play drunk. They also got super popular in Germany for some reason. Don't ask me, I've no idea why.

They really put time and effort into their videos in youtube so check any of them and its gonna bee good. Its actually how they were noticed in the first place. In their channel there is also a cover of Twin peaks theme. Just one guitar and raw talent thats worth listening over and over!

I had heard of them (I am from Jyväskylä too), but never checked them because I don't usually care about humor bands - but they where great! I checked Pantera's cemetary gates, which was great too, and of course The Trooper. One more reason to react to their version of The Trooper is that it's story is placed in Crimean War which was part of the bigger conflict where Russian Empire fought against alliance of Ottoman Empire, France, Britain and Sardinia. Finland had been under Russian rule for about half an century at that point, and we had to fight against English warships, when they came to our shores to basically break havoc to Russian infrastructure. There is even song about that in Finland (Oolannin sota - The war of Åland), which is not potentially as impressive as The Trooper ;-): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJOhgc-Q2diohJ8.html

I think their best live performance is this: Steve 'n' Seagulls - Born to be Wild [Steppenwolf cover] (Houston 09.16.15) HD - The voice on the video is not the best possible, it's like coming partly from inside a box. So not erraneous but damped. It's a club gig. But their performance chemistry just flares here. And you will notice for sure, who's the comedian in the band. You may have a hunch already - but this will spill it all over your eyes.

One of my absolute favorite cover ensembles. Their live video of Cemetery Gates is a must-see, and another good one is their cover of Van Halen's Panama.
