This is just stunning in all it's broken heartedness... 💔 I actually prefer this to the original Beatles version. So much more emotion in this, in Steve's voice. 💙 I've got the cd in my car and have come to love each song. The stripped down version... the emotion. So soul reaching.. especially having suffered a profound loss. Only Steve can sing in such a way to knock on the door of deepness. 💜💔💜

Mr. Steve - the King of HARMONIES. Before I knew what they were, it was the layers of harmonies and vocals that drew me in to wanting to hear more of the iconic sound that made Journey what it is. Now the vocal control of bellowed tenor tones to the whispered notes of Traces has my heart telling my ears to play it again while trying to dissect each and every note/harmony. When I first received Traces, it was the only thing I listened to in my travels, until I felt I had absorbed all I could take in (about 5 months later). Then I put it away for a short period. It's just a practice I've followed for much of my life to learn more of music, and also see if the tones that drew me in will stand the tests of time. Now, yes these are the same songs, but the stripped down versions give a new feel. Possibly a closer connection to what was in Steve's heart when he first composed them. Maybe just a second portion of the original concept. Either way, I count it a blessing that he has decided to share his gifts of music. Many thanks for the Musical Memories Mr. Steve.

Geez, Steve, I just found an escape concert ticket from Philadephia, Pa. circa. 1986 I believe. And one from 1994 at the tower also in Philadelphia. I believe that was to promote Street Talk. I’ve been hopelessly In love with you since the 80’s. I’d love to meet you one day. I just turned 50 and it would be my dream. I lost my daughter in 2018 and was divourced in 2011.
