True story: Lately I've been thinking that maybe I out lived my life. I remember when the skies were deep blue not (chemtrail) grey. I remember when the sun burned yellow,not white. I hope you don’t mind Steve Perry, it I lost the love of my life 37 years ago to a Drunk drive. I lost him Sept 1981. We were to be married October 1981. This song is everything I’ve felt since losing my John. He was 25 I was 21 and he always told me exactly how he would die. I didn’t believe him, but he knew. I thought we were flying, but I knew he was crying. Our baby boy was almost 11 months old. The only true dad he ever had. He visits me in my dreams, and I thank GOD. It still hurts just as bad as it did when it happened. I lose him everyday. Over and over, I get how he stares back in silence. I think many of us wish for the old days and find happiness hearing Steve's voice. It's a quick glance of old days and happy memories. I love the weathered aged voice of where Steve is now. I think we can find a great appreciation for his years of having a strong rocker's voice we enjoyed, but now we too are growing older, so we grow older and I find appreciation to the soft smokey voice. It is light-hearted and gives me a beautiful feeling. Steve, please don't stop believing or stop the feeling. We value your artistic talent at any age. I know you have been through a lot after Journey, and I have read you even have had health issues. I am proud and honored for you to open up and share your talent with us again. I find it hard to believe 70 fools thumbs down smh. I've been listening to music for 53 years and I'm from Houston and was at journey concert in the early 80s. This song is not journey folks this is Steve Perry hurting over a a woman who passed away from cancer and had Steve promise her before she passed that who would sing once again for his fans because Steve just didn't have the desire to sing. Yes his voice sounds ruff but only Steve Perry can sing and this song along with "you belong to me" & I need you are bone chilling because you can feel his pain in his voice

Losing my mother at age 57 last year this song hits me hard. Even on her death bed I couldn't come to terms she was actually dying...5 days later she died and I still thought she would come back.

My aunt died a couple years ago. She took me to my first concert. That concert was at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena in 1980 and it was Journey's Captured tour. She was the biggest Journey fan in all of human existence and she adored Steve Perry. I wish she could have lived to hear this.

I cannot stop playing Traces and crying. The songs are a heartfelt message of love. I loved the upbeat songs that balance it out beautifully too. I just ordered the Traces CD Deluxe Edition CD, (even though I had downloaded the Standard Edition last year), with my colorful Steve Perry throw blanket to keep warm after an upcoming surgery and my Antique Steve Perry Keychain holder. It was a horrible ending of the year 2018 with car accidents, illnesses in my household, then my diagnosis. But it's over and it's nice to know you have a piece of one of your favorite artists to keep you warm through the last part of the hard journey. My doctors say I will be completely recovered. Thanking God for that. Where do I start….especially at night it’s the hardest to deal with…Every time you dream of that special person that’s gone, it’s like you’re reliving the day they passed and it’s a sharp pain and sometimes just a dull ache but it’s always there. I lost 6 people in my life from my parents to my love, all in less than 2 years. I hear your voice, the passion and the pain and in some ways it helps. Thank You so much Steve for, even if you didn’t know it, help many people get through another lonely night…..I work in Pediatric Hospice and am always playing your music. It has a sense of healing…….😢
