This is my favourite song to play on the guitar!
I've been practicing the song since february and at this point I wanted to document the progress so far. I don't see an end to the level of emotional depth in the melody to this song so I'm sure this won't be the last time I upload a cover of it. We'll see! Hope you enjoy it!

Incredible dude! How do you get this tone? Right amount of gain and an expression pedal?

Thank you so much! Yeh pretty much! The expression pedal is set to control the gain knob on the amp in the axefx. Vai controls the amount of gain with his volume knob on the guitar, sadly my sustainer only works at 85-90% so I'm not able to do that. Nevertheless, creativity finds a way!

what kind of pedals are you using for this sound?

2 expression pedals. 1 for wah with springloaded tension for auto vah applicability, and 1 for normal volume pedal utility. All goes to Axe Fx through a midi switch board :)

So my whole guitartone is made by AxeFX. But as far as effects I use a dual delay for stereo ping pong delay effect and a wah. :)
