I am right, this was November 3,1979,I was a 9 month old baby when this episode aired on TV,but when I watched the Soul Train documentary on VH1,I've learned about this episode.

There are no dance shows like there were in the 50s,60s and 70s mostly because the music really began to suck in the 80s and progressively got worse.
