As great as Stevie G was? you can tell by the list of team mates he mentioned... only a handful of world class players! If only Liverpool gave him better players around him. Like Chelsea did for Lampard and United did for Scholes... Gerrard was pure class and he deserved alot more trophies than just UCL and few domestic cups.

I would not say that Liverpool was ever soooo good (mainly because of their defense) but some names which they had a times just wonderful.... Torres, Suarez, Alonso, Gerrard, Coutinho, Owen, Fowler etc ...

Steve G is very skillful, his long shot makes the ball fly so fast sometimes camera can’t capture the shot. One of top 5 middle fielders during his era, when the ball bounce outside of the box to Steve, you pretty much dead.

Interesting how he never mentions Owen in any of the categories apart from the Joker one. I remember Owen and Gerrard was a really good partnership both on and off the pitch. Maybe his departure to Madrid and then to Man United had something to do with it. No doubt Torres and Suarez are great but I feel Owen was a bit better than either of them and could have become a Liverpool icon just like Gerrard had he stayed.
