I think by the mix of all of the negative and positive comments here you can actually tell how great Steven Gerrard was. He joined Liverpool as a young boy and eventually became captain. He left the Club at 35 years old leaving the fans great memories of trophies, having played 710 games, scoring 186 goals and gaining legendary status at Liverpool. He played at LA Galaxy for a couple of years, but now he is back home at Liverpool coaching Liverpools youth team.

As a liverpool fan,watching steven gerrard was an absolute honor. I was at the Carling cup 2012 final and have watched almost every liverpool game since 2010. Stevie G was one of a kind. He pulled us from the dead, scored brilliant and important goals and more than anything was loyal to LFC. He left in 2015 for LA Galaxy in the MLS(definatly was the most hearbreaking thing ive heard in a while) and retired 1 year later as one of the most decoarted footballers to play the game. He went on to manage the LFC youth team and then become first team manager of Glascow Rangers where is is currently.

A humble guy, Loyal to his club. When he kissed the badge, he meant it, unlike most who just take the money and run.

Stevie G was born and raised in Liverpool. He was a red through and through and played at the club for 16 years. I have been a Liverpool fan my whole life and I have posters of him on my bedroom walls. He's my idol and he's the definition of someone who has complete passion and devotion to his club. Utter legend. He is a Liverpool and England legend and everyone was so devastated when he left the club. He WAS Liverpool FC in a way as none of us could really imagine the team without him in it. He came onto the pitch after his last match with his 3 daughters to the fans chanting his name, it was an incredibly emotional moment.

Had some of the greatest technique striking a ball I've ever seen, and had incredible passing range. Probably still does even now tbh.
