Don't you find that Steven Girvin's presence is even more soothing than Bob Ross? This is one great man to invite for the Christmas family dinner (as a harmonizer). Thank you Steven. 🙏

This was surprisingly ez to understand for a noob in QM

it is just has "quantum' in the title, it didn't even explain how quantum effect caused this. you don't need knowledge in QM to understand this at all.

At 6:00 He says the information is sort of spread out and shared, sort of holographically. Does he mean shared through quantum entanglement? It is possible to have swarm of entangled particles.
@roberttheiss6377
@roberttheiss6377 6 жыл бұрын
I don't think he means with quantum entanglement which is actually precise action from a distance; he means to change the state of the system one has to make a large change locally to shift the system to a different state of low energy, therefore these systems would be good as information storage because input can have noise and not be perfect. The low energy state is shared and dependent over the entire system. An analogy would be how a small amount of votes doesn't change who gets elected, but a large enough amount does - but in a general sense you don't have to know the exact number of votes to know who won, just have to be accurate enough to know the majority.

Why don't you assume there is a transverse current, like magnetic current?
@sumsar01
@sumsar01 5 жыл бұрын
Because magnetic monopoles are quite exotic objects and if they exist at all they don't do so in normal wire. But it's hardly related to the Hall effect in any way.

If any of you have been using HP scientific calculators for solutions dealing with quantum physics I hope you avoided using the 'y^x" function. On any HP calculator i.e. hp48 hp49 hp50 hp prime, when raising a negative number to an even-numbered exponent they will return a negative. e.g. -2 * -2 * -2 * -2 equals 16 but the EquationWriter form '-2^4' when evaluated returns -16. Don't they teach in kindergarten that a negative times a negative equals a positive?

You have mentioned about Topological Quantum computer to aid for that research, I think you said there's no such thing for now, maybe because in topology for example a figure formed like a rubber band or string which is invariant cannot be broken down but can be changed to other forms and because there's a variety of states like the dual figure of 8 that's why an idea of braiding according to you is a possibility idea. And that figure of 8 can't be changed because it's dual states aside from being entangled but going different ways in its pathway strings and could be fixed 8 as superiorly coded by High Spiritual beings. Then what if that's a fixed figure of 8 strings maybe another method is like a rubber band fold the 8 string loop over each other. Then what's the interaction? 2 fat buddies chatting? ( Joke )
